Hello everyone!

Introduction

I know in my latest article, I talked about getting back to my daily posting routine. Though irl life stays busy at the moment. So I kind of failed earlier this week. Got a busy weekend and some busy weeks afterwards so I'll probably won't write an article every day. Not that much of an issue as I kind of completed my goal in terms of staked Hive in line with what I wanted. But I will definitely do my utter best to be as active as possible!

Hive Power

I had the goal to achieve 3K Hive Power (HP) by years end. As I started at 1.5K HP at the start of 2024, I wanted to have atleast 2.25K HP by the end of June. I already achieved it, so that's a good thing. In the previous months, I powered down a bit of HP, don't know the exact amount but it was about 300HP. As I know people don't like others to power down, I'll explain why I did so. As most of you probably already know, I am a fervent enthousiast of WOO, a wrestling themed game on Hive of @wrestorgonline. You can read more about that at the end of my article. I had the opportunity to buy a really scarce card but to do so I had to grab some more liquid funds. Thus I decided to power down some Hive Power as I thought I would still be able to achieve my Hive Power goal.

As I am on track in regards to my HP goal, I thought it would maybe be better to change my goal a bit upwards. I like to push my boundaries. Ofcourse don't stretch them too hard, but still achievable. So, I decided to change my years end goal from 3k hp to 3.5k hp. Maybe 4k would even be doable but as there are quite some changes going on in my irl life, I'll just keep it at 3.5k for now. But will definitely revaluate after Q3 to see if I'll be able to achieve 4k HP by years end or not.

Hive Share Basic Income

Or HSBI in short, this is a project already running for years on the Hive (and before, on the Steem) blockchain. The idea is to give people a basic income. In short, you can sponsor someone a share (not yourself) by sending 1 hive (or multiples) to @steembasicincome and as memo you can put the name of the person you're sponsoring. This results in both the one sponsoring and the one being sponsored to receive a HSBI. If you have enough HSBI, you'll receive upvotes on your posts. The upvotes grow in line with the total amount of HSBI you have.

If you're not posting for a particular time, your next upvote will be bigger as it's slowly loading if not utilized. Another remark is that it's a basic income but only if you're active on Hive. If you're just hoarding hsbi but not being active, you won't receive any rewards.

I don't know exactly how many hsbi I had at the start of the the year but I think it was between 500 and 600. I wanted to go for 1000 hsbi by years end. As I am now already hovering around 850, I'll adapt this goal to 1200 hsbi. I am collecting hsbi through several initiatives on Hive.

I am one of the villagers of @servelle's village game which is giving me 1 hsbi / day (of which I sponsor let's say 40% myself). So definitely a shout out to him as he helps me achieving my hsbi goal! Besides receiving hsbi for participating in the Village game, there's a great atmosphere and engagement amongst the participants. I am really enjoying it!

Besides the Village game, I am an active community member of the #freecompliments community. They stand for being kind, mental health awareness and rara: handing out compliments. They have several initiatives running which reward you for being active in their community. It's best to check out their official account: @freecompliments to stay up to date. Definitely a great shout out as they are delivering some great work and the host has already invested a decent amount of his own $HIVE to hand out hsbi. So, a big shout out to him!

These two initiatives are the main sources of my hsbi. But if you look around on Hive, there are plenty of other contests and initiatives run by communities or individuals which reward you hsbi. So definitely go on a discovery yourself to find them!

LEO

I guess moest people on Hive already know the Inleo front-end. It's my favorite front-end since a couple of weeks. That's because there are several people which are really trying to engaging, you could possibly earn some $LEO for your content / engagement and the team behind Inleo is continuously trying to improve their front-end. An important factor is that they want to attract more attention to Hive and Inleo. They keep on innovating to achieve this goal.

Besides the ability to post longform posts on their front-end, you can engage with others utilizing threads. You could kind of compare it to web2 X (formerly known as Twitter). But with the difference that nobody could close your account, all messages are stored on-chain and you could possibly earn some $LEO. About 1 week ago, I started to really utilize threads. I had tried it out in the past for some contests but never really utilized it daily. Since a week, I am utilizing it daily, which results in quite some engagement. I received 10 new followers, YES: in just 1 week! Besides these new followers, I've had quite some interesting conversations, which I often lack with my long form posts and I learned some new stuff through particular threadcasts. These threadcasts could be seen as a channel of threads about a particular subject / livestream /... Yes, I am pretty new to threads, but I really enjoy the level of engagement on it!

As said, this is a rather new front-end I am using, so I didn't have a goal for it at the start of 2024. I decided to set multiple goals for this platform. My first one is to become premium. As a premium user, you have more visibility and got the potential of earning higher upvotes from @leo-curation. That's not all, you can post longer threads, edit threads, get a checkmark to your name, etc. You can check it out here. As you can see on this webpage, there is a discount if you buy premium for 1 year, so yes, I am saving for 1 year of premium. I hope to achieve it at the end of next month, thus in about 6 weeks. My second goal is to achieve 1k Leo Power (LP) at the end of next month. This one is mainly to see how fast I can accumulate LP. I hope to achieve 4k LP at years end. This is probably my most difficult goal of all my goals but I think it should be doable if I keep engaging on threads and threadcasts.

WOO

As a fervent WOO enthousiast, I could ofcourse not not mention WOO of @wrestorgonline. In terms of cards, I don't plan to acquire more cards as for now. I've accumulated already quite a lot of cards and as I've won the May tournament, I think I should be fine for now. In terms of $WOO, I want to grow my stack to 5.000.000 WOO. I am already on about 4.3M WOO, so this should definitely be doable. Overall I think I am well positioned for the coming updates of WOO!

Conclusion

I think I'm overall doing quite well in regards to my set goals for 2024. This could ofcourse mean that my goals were set too low or I am doing a good work. I think I definitely not set them too high as I prefer achievable goals over stretching them too much. On the other hand, I think I'm doing a great job as well!
Thanks for reading my goals update!

As I truly appreciate engagement, feel free to talk about your goals and/or give feedback in the comments!

What is WOO?

WOO, aka Wrestling Organization Online is an upcoming play2earn game on the Hive blockchain about wrestling. They are bringing back territory wrestling, where the wrestlers are tradeable nft's. The game launched in 2024. It's an autobattler in the theme of wrestling. There are 3 undercard events and 1 main event. Winning an undercard event gives you 1 point and winning the main event gives you 2 points, so 5 points are what we're fighting for. There are wrestler NFT's and manager NFT's which gives bonuses to the wrestlers. When you win a game, you'll earn $WOO, the governance token of WOO, making it a real #play2earn game!

A lot could be said about WOO, to get more information about WOO in general, check out my other posts, the posts of @wrestorgonline and make sure to join their discord: https://discord.gg/woogame
