Hello everyone!
Recently I saw a writing contest passing by of @leofinance where people can win $100 + 1month of Inleo Premium if they write a good article about which project they think is the best opportunity for the next bullrun. You can find the announcement here. Usually I don't participate in such contests as I think the chanches of winning are very slim. But as there are 10 winners this time, I thought let's give it a go. If I don't win, I atleast broke down one of the projects I think has the biggest upside potential in the following bull market. By the way, I think the next bullrun could be here sooner rather than later. Some even say, it already started as Bitcoin is already climbing, thus being one more reason to prepare ourselves!
My cover image already revealed it, today I am talking about Wrestling Organization Online or WOO in short. I will try to explain the project on one hand and on the other hand, I will try to give reasons why I think this project has some great potential. As with everything, always do your own research and don't take anything for granted!

Mission of WOO
Wrestling Organization Online is a play-to-earn business management game where players can build their Organization by acquiring wrestlers, upgrading facilities, and competing to earn more of the game's own token $WOO.
We look to give a unique experience with this game, as this gameplay style has a proven track record with our audience. Since the early wrestling magazine days, there has been a need to create wrestlers and promotions and compete against others. This trend has continued into the Modern era with the advent of video games, and modes like "GM mode" have been held in high regard with our target audience.
We are developing a fun game that has a direct target audience, aspects of a tried and true business management style, and potential for play-to-earn opportunities.
We're also looking to positively impact the wrestling industry and help wrestlers by implementing NFT versions of independent wrestlers. Wrestling Organization Online will use a percentage of all transactions to purchase merchandise from partnered wrestlers. Wrestling Organization Online will then use this merchandise for future community giveaways. We believe this will help bring the community together and lead to the tangible utility of $WOO.

As you can read in their mission, WOO is a play-to-earn business management game. Besides their own governance token, players will be able to earn freelance wrestlers, you could see these as reward cards and potentially other tokens as well. Although at the moment of writing, the game is already live, but the earning aspect isn't yet. Though the staff has announced that it will be live well before Wrestlecon, which is already 4th - 7th of April. That means rewards should go live anyday now. So better be prepared and take your advantage of scooping up some more assets as long as they are cheap!
Another important aspect WOO is highlighting in their mission is that they want to leave the wrestling industry in a better spot as they found it. Hereby they want to say that they are actively supporting (retired) wrestlers / wrestling managers. How they do this? Well, they are reserving a part of their revenue for their partnerships. So far 10 partnerships have been announced.
Here’s the full list of the partner roster, at the moment of writing:
- Perry Saturn
- Raven
- Sonny Oono
- Terri Runnels
- Justin Credible
- Sabu
- Bill Alfonso
- Mikey Whipwreck
- Ernest “The Cat” Miller
- Tajiri
WOO has already paid out a decent sum of money to its partners. One of the most beautifull stories in my opinion is the one of Perry Saturn. WOO helped to pay his taxes so the risk of his house being confiscated vanished. This was a fantastic example of how they are effectively helping the wrestling industry.
Tokenomics
When someone is evaluating a project, it's always important to analyse the tokenomics. Is it an inflationary token or deflationary? How is it distributed? What are the possibilities to earn more of the token? What could we do with the token? These are all some important questions, so I'll try to explain how the tokenomics of WOO look.
In total there are 3 billion $WOO tokens, which are 'labeled' as follows:

Besides the total amount of tokens, the issuance is an important aspect as well, let's have a look:

As you can see, most tokens are being issued over a timespan of 5 years. This is a choice which has been made consciously as the WOO staff didn't want to flood the market from day one with tokens. Thus rather doing it slowly.
Another note is that above table is the initial plan. Several are already completed, like the private sale and the airdrop are already over. The DAO isn't active at the moment, so no tokens are leaving the DAO treasury neither.
Overall I think WOO has some strong tokenomics. There's a healthy part in the hand of the staff and this part will thus not change hands soon. As they are the force behind WOO and know the full potential it has. On the other hand the tokens aren't to centralized with the staff, which would be a bad thing as well.
The major part of the tokens is being held for the play-2-earn aspect. I think this is logical as it's a play-2-earn game. Another advantage is that these tokens will only be used if the game is played. Thus, a big amount of players, means a bigger amount of tokens being used.
Furthermore, there are some healthy LP and staking rewards enabling a decent staking percentage, helping to stabilize the price of the WOO token. LP rewards are important as well, because people need to have options to swap from and to the WOO token.
As we are on Hive, there are some rewards for HP delegation as well. I think this is very important, as this way, WOO can upvote content of users, like this article for example.

Why WOO is an opportunity leading in the next Bullrun?
I already tried to explain a bit what WOO is about, I wrote about their tokenomics, now I will explain why I think it has some great potential. Ofcourse this a a listing of arguments from my point of view. So, definitely do your own analysis before jumping straight in a new project!
Helping the Wrestling industry
This is definitely an edge they have over other projects. Other projects are usually just working for their own gains and as a user, you could get potential gains as well. With WOO, we all help the wrestling industry. At the moment of writing, they have 10 partners, which earn their part from the WOO game. Even if everything would fail miserably hard, than atleast we helped some people who have a tough situation.
IRL Partners
Ofcourse just sharing revenues, isn't the only reason why I am bullish on WOO. But linked with it, they have several irl partners. I think that such irl partnerships help a project to give credibility to it. It's definitely different to just work with some obscure projects as a partnership compared to work with famous people. One could say that these partnerships cost quite some money to WOO as they are sharing a revenue percentage with them. But you could look at it from the marketing aspect as well. When WOO is somewhere and they have partners with them, you can be assured, people will visit the WOO booth. When they do visit, there is an easy conversation as well. Most of these partners have some big followings as well, they could be attracted to WOO and Hive as well.
Competent staff
A project is only as strong as the people working on it. WOO has a decent amount of staff and probably even more important, they have very competent staff. Besides @bookerman, the CEO who has an immense network of connections in the wrestling industry, there are some other well-know Hivians like @tobias-g and @crimsonclad. So far they have hit nearly all of their milestones. As with every project, there are sometimes some hiccups as well. These were tackled with an outstanding form of professionalism. Not just throwing around excuses, no explaining how it happened and which measures will be taken to avoid such missings in the future.

Strong community
Ofcourse this is a rather subjective element and everyone will experience it differently but in my opinion WOO has a strong community. Most of the OG's are still active, with some very exceptional individuals who know a lot about WOO. Besides these OG's, there are plenty of newer people joining everyday who like to know more about WOO. The community wants to have fun, help eachother and ofcourse is looking forward to the launch of the rewards so we could compete eachother.
Scarce NFT's
The wrestlers and managers being used to play matches are NFT's. WOO has always claimed to give much attention to scarcity. When we take a look at their Gold Belts, than we see that they are effectively rather scarce. Of some cards, there's only 1 in existance. Thus that's really rare. Ofcourse when someone has such a card, we could expect that the market will value it appropriately, especially in an upcoming bull run.
Onboarding Hive users
This is probably something all projects on Hive are claiming. But WOO has a bigger chanche of actually succeeding. The theme of their game is rather niche, wrestling isn't a mainstream sport like soccer or Football. Though it's still a relatively big market and thus WOO could be an incentive for people to check out Hive, start blogging as well etc.

Fun game
When a project is all about a particular game, it's important that the game itself is fun to play. If people only play a game for its rewards, than it will die sooner or later. The WOO game is live since December 2023 and is effectively fun to play. At the moment, we're still waiting for the graphics to being implemented and thus it will be even greater to watch our Organizations compete!
Assets are relatively cheap
A project could have a lot of positive elements but if the assets are already skyhigh to buy some, it will be hard to attract new people. At the moment of writing, WOO assets are rather cheap. You could buy your first wrestler for about $0,10.
Conclusion
I guess it's already obvious why I am a big fan of the WOO project. If you haven't checked it out already, you should definitely go and have a look at their website: https://play.wrestlingorganizationonline.com/
