I’m writing this new article just a few days after the last update because I want to share some interesting discoveries I made about the Conquest mode 🛡️, which also features Content Bounties. These give users the chance to create game-related content, which, if deemed valuable, rewards them with prizes. Tutorials on the Conquest mode can earn you Anima tokens, which are precious 🍬 because they are essential for upgrading your Golems and dominating this fantastic battle mode.
I must admit, I’ve been playing a lot these days 🎮 and discovered a few interesting things that I hope will also be useful to you.
But for those unfamiliar with this game:
What is Golem Overlord? 🤖
Golem Overlord is a strategy game developed on the Hive blockchain, set in a post-apocalyptic world 🌍. Players take on the role of a Golemancer, commanding golems in a desolate landscape. The game includes:
- Collecting resources 🪵;
- Mining game tokens (PART and SHARD);
- Strategic battles ⚔️ against other Golemancers (players).
The game is available as a browser game on Hive and as an app on Google Play. 📱
What Do You Need to Start Playing? 🕹️
To start your adventure, you’ll need:
- A Hive account (find a detailed guide on libertycrypto27’s blog: link to guide;
- The Keychain extension for your preferred browser (Brave, Chrome, or Firefox): link to extension.
Focus on Golem Training 🛠️
Recently, I’ve been playing a lot and climbed the rankings:
Currently, I’m ranked 27th, and if the "season" ended today, I’d win some great prizes:
- 25 Anima tokens ✨
- 1 Tactician Trove 🗃️
As mentioned, Anima tokens allow you to improve your Golem NFT’s skills. To do so, just go to your inventory:
Select the appropriate Golem filter:
Left-click on one of your Golem NFTs and select Manage Golem:
Then, the Golem menu will appear, offering various training options:
As shown in the image above, you can perform three main operations:
- Add experience points to your giant 📈;
- Level up its rarity using Anima tokens (this is why they’re so important!);
- Dismantle the Golem to gain experience points.
Experience points are earned by fighting Conquest battles with your Golems bought from the market or found in Eldritch Golem Vaults, boxes that can be purchased from the market and contain 5 Golem NFTs:
I decided to treat myself this Christmas 🎄 because I love this game so much. The team is active, continues improving the gameplay experience, and I genuinely enjoy competing in the Conquest mode. I converted about 18 HDB earned from my activity on Hive to purchase 6 Eldritch Golem Vaults.
I found 30 Golem cards, kept some (those with higher rarity and stats suited to my strategy), and dismantled the rest to gain experience for enhancing my favorite Golems. My current Golem cards are as follows:
As you can see, the effects of training are noticeable on this Golem:
When I found it in Eldricht, its level was 7 out of 9.
By using experience points accumulated from dismantling other Golems and Soul tokens earned from victories in Conquest, I have:
- increased the level from 7 to 9 out of 9.
Focus on the Conquest Mode ⚔️
Here there are numerous things to discuss, which I’ve mostly learned through experience 🌟, reading user content and comments, studying moves of top players, and exploring in-game information.
Where to start?
All right, every Golem has traits (which are absolutely essential) and skills (which are equally important).
There are several traits, but in my opinion, the most important ones are these:
Let me explain why I consider these traits to be the most important in Conquest battles.
In every battle, we have a limited number of 0 to 6 units with these main traits:
For example, in the battle shown in the previous screenshot, you can deploy:
- Up to 6 units with the main trait Shadow 🖤;
- Up to 6 units with the main trait Elemental 🌪️;
- Up to 5 units with the main trait Vanguard ⚔️;
- Up to 6 units with the main trait Arcane ✨;
- You cannot deploy Golem with the main trait Celestial ☀️.
Why are these the most important traits? Because depending on the number of Golems we deploy with these traits, we get extra points on some of our Golem's statistics:
Now, look at the difference between the extra points I got and those of my opponent:
As a result, I had a bigger upgrade in statistics than my opponent because I made better choices for the units I deployed, and thus significantly increased my chances of victory. 🏆
Based on the units we prioritize, the choice of Advisor becomes strategic, as it also provides upgrades to our Golems. So you can decide to boost an aspect your units left uncovered or further enhance statistics you've already increased by choosing the units based on the previously described information. 🤔
Important trick 🔥
Now let's talk about the trick that's there but not very visible unless you're paying attention.
We've mentioned that for each primary trait, there's a defined limit for each battle, but this limit, yes, can be exceeded. To help you understand what I mean, let's take this Golem as an example:
Now, pay attention, the main traits are these:
And these are the traits that determine how many Golems with that specific trait can be deployed (of course, for each Golem type, you can deploy a maximum of two units, and this limit cannot be bypassed).
Referring to the previous battle rules, we could deploy 6 Shadow units and 6 Elemental units.
But let's look closely at the secondary traits of this Golem:
This Golem, besides the two main traits, has Shadow as a secondary trait, which is one of those traits that allows for a boost to statistics when a certain number of cards with that trait are deployed.
But the trick is that the secondary trait counts for receiving the potential statistic boost, but it is not counted towards the limit set for those units by the battle rules. 💡
This, in my opinion, is an absolutely fundamental element to consider and an important thing to know because in this battle, we can get the boost for the statistic we care about, even when the battle rules set a lower Golem limit for that specific trait.
In fact, if you notice, I obtained the maximum boost for the units with the Vanguard trait (which is obtained when 6 cards of that type are deployed), even though the battle rule had set a limit of 5 Vanguard units:

Skills to focus on 🎯
I have to admit, I am still a bit behind with studying the skills, and I need to dive deeper into them, but for now, I can say which ones I prefer and why.
The skills I always try to deploy are as follows:
I prefer these skills because they don't target a single enemy but deal damage to multiple enemies, and since I prefer an aggressive and attacking tactic, they suit me best. 🚀
I mostly combine them with skills that stun the opponent, like:

I have to admit, this game has really grabbed me, and it's been a wonderful discovery! I have to thank my friends from the Olio di Balena community: @arc7icwolf and @libertycrypto27 because thanks to their posts, I discovered Golem Overlord.
In Conquest mode, now you can deploy your Golems, and as a result, competing for the top positions is practically impossible (unless you're willing to make significant investments) because users in the top positions have Golems at level 15 out of 15, and there's no strategy that can overcome that: it's an uneven battle.
But anyway, by using cleverness and strategically upgrading your Golems (of course, if you want to invest a little in this game), you can position yourself in the higher ranks and even earn some decent rewards that can accelerate your progress and improve the gaming experience. 🌟

Scrivo questo nuovo articolo a distanza di pochi giorni dall'ultimo update perché voglio condividere delle scoperte interessanti che ho fatto sulla modalità Conquest 🛡️ su cui è anche attivo un Content Bounties che dà la possibilità a tutti gli utenti di creare contenuti sul gioco che, se validi, daranno diritto a delle ricompense. Per i tutorial sulla modalità Conquest sono previsti dei premi in token Anima che sono succulenti 🍬 perché molto importanti per poter far crescere i propri Golem e poter quindi dominare questa fantastica modalità di battaglia.
Devo ammettere che in questi giorni ho giocato veramente tanto 🎮 e ho scoperto alcune cose interessanti che voglio condividere e che spero possano essere utili anche a voi.
Ma per chi ancora non conoscesse questo gioco:
Cos'è Golem Overlord? 🤖
Golem Overlord è un gioco di strategia sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive, ambientato in un mondo post-apocalittico 🌍. I giocatori vestono i panni di Golemancer, comandando golem in un paesaggio desolato. Il gioco include:
- Raccolta di risorse 🪵;
- Mining dei token di gioco (PART e SHARD);
- Battaglie strategiche ⚔️ contro altri Golemancer (giocatori).
Il gioco è disponibile come browser game su Hive e come app su Google Play. 📱

Per iniziare la vostra avventura, avrete bisogno di:

Focus sull'allenamento dei Golem 🛠️
Come detto, ho giocato parecchio in questo periodo e ho scalato la classifica:
In questo momento mi trovo al 27° posto e se la "stagione" terminasse oggi vincerei dei bei premi:
- 25 token Anima ✨
- 1 Tactician Trove 🗃️
Come detto, i token Anima permettono di migliorare le abilità dei nostri Golem NFT e per farlo basta andare nel nostro inventario:
Selezionare l'apposito filtro su Golem:
Cliccare con il tasto sinistro su uno dei nostri Golem - NFT e selezionare la voce Manage Golem:
Apparirà quindi il menù del nostro Golem con tutte le possibilità di allenamento delle sue statistiche:
Come vedete nell'immagine sopra è possibile compiere 3 operazioni principali:
- aggiungere punti esperienza al nostro gigante 📈;
- fare level UP della sua rarità utilizzando i token Anima (ecco perchè sono importanti!);
- smantellare il Golem e ottenere punti esperienza.
I punti esperienza si guadagnano giocando nelle battaglie Conquest con i nostri Golem acquistati dal mercato o trovati all'interno degli Eldritch Golem Vault, scatole che possono essere acquistate dal market e che contengono 5 NFT Golem:
Ho deciso di farmi un regalo di Natale 🎄 perchè questo gioco mi piace veramente tanto, perchè vedo che il team è attivo e continua a migliorare l'esperienza di gioco e perchè mi diverto molto a competere nella modalità Conquest. Ho quindi convertito circa 18 HDB guadagnati dalla mia attività su Hive per acquistare ben 6 Eldricht Golem Vault.
Ho trovato quindi 30 carte Golem che ho in parte tenuto (quelli con rarità più elevata e con statistiche congeniali alla mia strategia) e in parte smantellato per ottenere punti esperienza da utilizzare per il miglioramento dei miei Golem preferiti. In questo momento le mie carte Golem sono le seguenti:
Come potete vedere, gli effetti dell'allenamento si possono notare su questo Golem:
Quando l'ho trovato nell'Eldricht il suo livello era 7 su 9.
Utilizzando punti esperienza accumulati smantellando altri Golem e token Anima ottenuti dalle battaglie vinte in Conquest ho:
- aumentato il livello da 7 a 9 su 9.
Focus sulla modalità Conquest ⚔️
Qui le cose da dire sono diverse e le ho apprese per la maggior parte con l'esperienza 🌟, leggendo i contenuti e i commenti di altri utenti attivi nel gioco, studiando le mosse dei giocatori più forti e leggendo le informazioni direttamente in game.
Da dove partiamo?
Allora, ogni Golem ha dei tratti (che sono assolutamente fondamentali) e delle skill (che sono altrettanto importanti).
Di tratti ce ne sono diversi ma i più importanti a mio avviso sono questi:
Cerco di spiegarti perché reputo questi tratti i più importanti nelle battaglie Conquest.
In ogni battaglia abbiamo un numero limitato da 0 a 6 unit à che hanno questi tratti principali:
Ad esempio, nella battaglia della schermata precedente si possono schierare:
- fino a 6 unità con tratto principale Shadow 🖤;
- fino a 6 unità con tratto principale Elemental 🌪️;
- fino a 5 unità con tratto principale Vanguard ⚔️;
- fino a 6 unità con tratto principale Arcane ✨;
- non si possono schierare Golem con tratto principale Celestial ☀️.
Perché queste sono le caratteristiche più importanti? Perché in base al numero di Golem che schieriamo con queste caratteristiche abbiamo dei punti extra ad alcune statistiche dei nostri Golem:
Ora guardate la differenza tra i punti extra a cui abbiamo attinto io e il mio avversario:
Di conseguenza ho avuto un upgrade di statistiche più importante di quelle del mio avversario perchè ho scelto meglio le mie pedine da mettere in campo e quindi ho aumentato notevolmente le mie possibilità di vittoria. 🏆
Sulla base delle unità a cui si dà priorità poi diventa strategica anche la scelta dell'Advisor che allo stesso tempo fornisce degli upgrade ai nostri Golem. Quindi si può decidere di potenziare un aspetto che le nostre unità hanno lasciato sguarnito oppure potenziare ulteriormente delle statistiche che abbiamo già incrementato con la scelta delle unità in base alle info precedentemente descritte. 🤔
Trucco importante 🔥
Arriviamo ora al trucco che c'è ma si vede poco, se non si è attenti.
Abbiamo detto che per ogni tratto primario c'è un limite definito da ogni battaglia ma questo limite, ebbene sì, si può superare. Per cercare di farvi capire quello che intendo prendo ad esempio questo Golem:
Ora, osservate bene, i tratti principali sono questi:
e questi sono i tratti che definiscono quanti Golem con quello specifico item possono essere schierati (ovviamente poi per ogni tipologia di Golem si possono schierare al massimo due unità e questo blocco non si può aggirare).
Prendendo a riferimento le regole di battaglia precedenti potevamo schierare 6 unità Shadow e 6 unità Elemental.
Ma guardiamo bene i tratti secondari di questo Golem:
Questo Golem oltre ai due tratti principali ha come tratto secondario Shadow, che è una di quelle caratteristiche che permette di avere un boost alle statistiche se si schierano un certo numero di carte di quel tipo.
Ma il bello è che il tratto secondario viene conteggiato per ricevere l'eventuale boost di statistiche ma non viene considerato nel limite previsto per quelle unità dalle regole di battaglia. 💡
Questo è a mio parare un elemento assolutamente fondamentale da considerare e importante da conoscere perché in questa battaglia possiamo ottenere il boost della statistica che più ci interessa anche quando il limite di Golem previsto dalla battaglia per quel determinato tratto è più basso.
Infatti, se notate bene, ho ottenuto il boost massimo per le unità con tratto Vanguard (che si ottiene se si schierano 6 carte di quella tipologia) anche se la regola di battaglia prevedeva un limite di 5 unità Vanguard:

Abilità su cui puntare 🎯
Sulle abilità devo ammettere che sono ancora un po' indietro con lo studio e devo approfondire ancora, ma posso per ora dire quali sono quelle che preferisco e perché.
Le abilità che cerco sempre di schierare sono le seguenti:
Preferisco queste abilità perché non colpiscono il singolo bersaglio ma fanno danno a più nemici e siccome prediligo una tattica aggressiva e di attacco sono quelle che fanno maggiormente al caso mio. 🚀
Le combino principalmente con abilità che stordiscono l'avversario come ad esempio:

Devo ammettere che questo gioco mi sta prendendo davvero tanto ed è stato davvero una bellissima scoperta! Devo ringraziare gli amici della community Olio di Balena: @arc7icwolf e @libertycrypto27 perché grazie ai loro post sono venuto a conoscenza di Golem Overlord.
In modalità Conquest ora si possono schierare i propri Golem e di conseguenza competere con le prime posizioni è praticamente impossibile (a meno di grossi investimenti) perché gli utenti nelle prime posizioni hanno Golem di livello massimo 15 su 15 e non c'è strategia che tenga: è una battaglia ad armi impari.
Ma comunque, lavorando d'astuzia e potenziando in modo strategico i propri Golem (ovviamente se si vuol investire un minimo in questo gioco), si pu ò posizionarsi nelle parti alte della classifica e ottenere anche delle discrete ricompense che possono accelerare l'avanzamento e il miglioramento dell'esperienza di gioco. 🌟
