November was a fast month. It ran by too fast, I'm in awe of how I managed to match its pace. It has been a good month.
At the start of the month, I did something that I always wanted, which was to visit a dentist to have my teeth checked, cleaned, and treated if there were any anomalies. Somehow, it occurred to me how I never really do so much to enjoy my money or to take proper care of me. A number of people can relate to this. We spend on bills and bills, which, of course, we have to, but we rarely ever do nice things for ourselves. Having a total body check was an option but I needed to start somewhere and checking to find that my HMO(health insurance organization) plan fitted in the description of things that I could cover, I went in.
Contrary to my initial plan to scale and polish, it was found that I had a bad tooth, and I just had to take it out. I may not have experienced toothaches, but firsthand, I've heard how excruciating the pain can be, and also, my sister had suffered it just weeks ago. For someone whom we all know to have a certain threshold for pain to wince and complain and be so rattled as she was, I could tell that toothache is no child's play. After the session at the dentist, I felt so good, my mouth felt new, somewhat, I thought about not eating anything for a while but just smiling so wide so everyone saw the clean set. Lmao.
Sometime in the month, too, something annoying happened. First, I was going to travel for some office sort of hangout meeting, but my tailor, with whom I have given some fabric to make clothes from disappointed me. Aside from him showing up late to my house to drop off the clothes which was nothing to me, the clothes were a bad fit. You see, the first time I ever gave him a fabric, he did a nice job. And since I thought that he was qualified, I gave him some more, many more, without haggling his price. This time, he brought clothes that had small sizes. The shirts and trousers were small for me. They was no way I could even try to position them on myself to make them look okay. I was livid, and I told him how bad his work was. What was most annoying was that the fabrics were very expensive. Adding to the fact that I paid hugely for the clothes.
He kept saying the clothes were okay even when it was evident that it wasn't, and that pissed me off more. When my sister walked in on the fitting session, her words to me were, "Why are you wearing under-size clothes?" That's goes to tell how bad it was. The trousers weren't even anywhere near my ankle, plus it was tight. The shirts could barely fit my frame.
He took the clothes back to fix them, and it then occurred to me that he didn't even take measurements to aid in the fixing. He would return with the clothes later on, but there was negligible difference.
I was so pissed, I tell you. I didn't go through with the traveling which was for the next day but it was all good that way. The clothes? It's a story for another day.
Too, for the first time, I anchored one of our weekly virtual assessment meetings. I was skeptical cause I hadn't done it ever, plus it required doing some findings on each individual and band's/team's performances and questioning and reviewing them. It ws the first time too that I made and used slides. I was anxious at first, but minutes into the meeting, I felt relaxed, and it went well. I've had to amchor one more after that. It wasn't as difficult as I imagined.
The month has been just good. Life is good. All is progressing well, and I'm glad.
