I still can't forget my trip. It seems like I had a beautiful dream at night and I am thinking about that dream throughout the day. The roads leading to Hunza, the mountains, the greenery and the waterfalls are coming to my mind again and again. I am falling into nostalgia and living in delusion.

At first I was afraid of mountains, but when I saw them in front of me in reality, I fell in love with them. My ears want to hear about the people living in the valleys while my eyes want to see the lifestyle of the mountain people.Image from thread
It was two o'clock in the day when 21 of us were sitting in a bus and headed towards the world's highest Khunjerab border crossing. I don't know how excited the other 20 people were, but I was eager to see the Pakistan-China border. Image from thread
I was sitting on the very last seat in the bus and was looking at the mountains from the window. I was absorbed in my own thoughts and my eyes were busy capturing the surrounding sights in my memories.
The stone bridges and stone houses made me wonder again and again how the people here live in these houses and how good their life is.
I like being alone like this and talking to myself. I like friends too, but many times I get bored with people and want to run away.Image from thread
One of the most beautiful things I see on mountainous roads is the walking of mountain sheep. Mountainous sheep are Unique because they also know how to hike same like mountainous people. Image from thread
It had been five hours since we left our hotel and after five hours of driving we had reached the China border.
I couldn't see the China border but what I could see were the yaks. The yaks were numerous on the mountains and from a distance they only looked like mountain buffaloes.Image from thread
Welcome to Khunjerab Pass, Gilgit Baltistan. I saw that and I felt happy to be here. I always have seen pictures of my relatives Infront of this border and I was always excited to capture my photos over there.

Pakistan-China border is located in Karakoram Mountain ranges which is one of the highest mountain ranges in the world. Even K2 is world's second highest peak.

The other interesting thing is that Pakistan's side features world's highest ATM. Surprisingly, when I was standing Infront of this ATM, I was not aware that it is world's highest ATM. Actually, I was haphazardly moving to go to washroom ๐Ÿ˜‰. It was urgent.

In tourist facilitation center, a tourist can go to toilet ๐Ÿ˜‰. Without any break, I went inside and paid 200Pakistani ruppee to use toilet. It was really costly but what else I could do? ๐Ÿ˜‚

A stranger had become my friend who could neither hear nor speak. I had the most fun with this stranger in the whole trip. Talking to this stranger in sign language and explaining different things to him was a different experience. To keep a memory in my gallery, I clicked a selfie with dear stranger. We both were heading towards Pak-China Border. Believe me, he is one of the best person I ever met. He knows very well how to treat others. Even in his sign language, he conveys full meaning.

Hurrah, we are here.... It's Pak-China Border Crossing which is known as Khunjerab Pass.
According to Wikipedia, Khunjerab Pass is 15397 ft higher than sea level which makes it world's highest border crossing. Image from thread

There were many tourists at the border. When my friend and I were moving towards the Pak-China border, we were stopped by bike travelers and requested to take a picture.
I took a picture of those three bike travelers. I then requested them if I could take a picture with their bikes. To which they happily nodded their heads. I gave him my mobile and he clicked a picture of me.Image from thread
This is Pakistan's side boundary marker which depicts the boundary of Pakistan. The one thing I missed is shaking my hands and greeting with any Chinese person on border.
Actually, at that time, I was so weird that I forgot to do many things. Funnily, I thought to make a reel over there but I missed. I greeted a solider over there who was very kind and loving.

There are many things and wishes which I left for another time in my life. Time was short and I didn't like this short time issues all the time. Our tour guide was saying it again and again that come back. It's time to go back but I still wanted to be there for hours atleast. I wanted to go near this Pakistani flag but I didn't. I missed. It was five O'clock in the evening but feels like it's early morning because everything was kinda freezing. Oxygen level was very low and it was difficult to walk even. Difficult because I am not from hilly or mountainous region that's why I am not used to this temperature. My hands were getting red. But, it was not any problem atleast I was enjoying it. Karakoram Mountain range is full of surprises as it holds many distinctions. Snow leopard which is an endangered specie is also found here. Moreover, Markhor, which is Pakistan's national animal is also from the same mountain range. Image from thread
It is not winter time here otherwise these mountains remain loaded with snow and I am sure it would be difficult for a person like me to survive in that harsh weather.
But, due to climate change and global warming, glaciers are melting with high speed. This is effecting the beauty and lifestyle of mountainous people. I wish everything could remain the same. Image from thread
Dear Diary, There are many things I have missed in this trip to Khunjerab Pass. I missed observing and closely seeing many things and places. There is always a next time. Dear Diary, I will come again. Until next time dearest Hunza ๐Ÿ˜˜.

See you next ๐ŸŒบ
