Hello Hello Hivians

It is 5.22am as I start to write this post. It is the sixth of november and the morning after remember remember the 5th of November which of course in the UK is Guy Fawkes night.

This is where we celebrate failure it feels like where we celebrate / remember the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and fellow Catholic conspirators attempted to blow up Parliament and assassinate James I of England.

The affront of those pesky catholics really!

There we go terrorism in the name of religion 400 years ago some things never change!

I digress, it is now 5.30am and it is pitch black outside.

Rewind 12 hours and let's go!

We are in the Kingdom of Fife on the East coast of Scotland in the Northern Hemisphere.

This walk is from last week.

Image from thread

The photos are taken by that silohuette you see over two days.

Train 🚆 🚂

Image from thread

We walk close to a train track which is pretty busy but I never seem to catch trains going a bridge for example this one!

Image from thread

Yeah I do have summer shots of a train over the bridge.

Image from thread

As it is opposite one of the entrances to the park which does have a bench, so you can sit in the sun and take that picture.

The sun ah yes vitamin D something we lack in the winter.

This picture coming up shows you the difference a day makes at this time of year!

Our clocks went back a couple of weeks ago. It is a bizarre concept for some people to grasp.

I know when Iived on the equator in Africa, it got light and it got dark at the same time every day.

That took some getting used to!

Image from thread

Here in the summer it is often light in the north of Scotland, and conversely in the height of winter it is dark most of the day.

Image from thread

Aye, the nights are fair drawing in

Image from thread

This is a common phrase in the UK, in Scotland we could replace nights with nichts!

The nights are fair drawing in is a an idiom here in the UK that means it's getting dark earlier in the evening as autumn or winter approaches.

Image from thread

And yes we are in autumn or falls as the fallen leaves indicate.

This walk is something I do Monday- Thursday and I leave the house at 4.55pm to go meet Mrs T at the busstop on her way home from work.

Image from thread

Often in the summer I walk there and we come back via the park, and it often depends on the weather as to whether do that now.

Image from thread

This was another example of the darker daylight between two different days as this is the same bungalow and was actually listed for sale a couple of weeks.

Mrs T is wanting to go look. Me not so much!

Image from thread

This roundabout is a bit of a boundary as to the left is towards town and to the right is heading to the countryside and this is like a city centre boundary!

Image from thread

I let these two pups go past before I took their pic. Both are greyhounds and from a rescue centre. The one on the left is younger and can be a bit scared if you look him in the eye. So today I had a chat with their owner but kept the phone camera away from him.

Terminus

We don't really say that anymore but I remember as kid we would say bus terminus for the station!

Image from thread

Talking of houses this one is for sale too.

Image from thread

However it was dismissed for being too much money for too little house. I mean where would my staff sleep!
Image from thread

I like it though as it is right beside the bus stop and a mini supermarket, although their prices are more expensive than the main supermarkets. I also think this is a fluffing con.

Image from thread

Oops there is the bus.

Image from thread

Then the walk back home retracing my steps.

Image from thread

I was told to stop and take this picture of the gate lodge through the trees. It had recently been renovated.

Image from thread

This is it and it is now being used as a children's nursery which is a great thing that it is actually being used!

Image from thread

I was also testing out my new Pixel 9 Pro XL phone as it has a night setting.

Image from thread

It does make things brighter without flashing I have to give it that!

Image from thread

You can also tell autumn is well underway as the trees are losing their clothes and starting to look naked!

Image from thread

There are three entrances to the park that we pass going this way home.

Image from thread

This was the entrance where I can sit and wait enjoy the sun and take train shots over the bridge.

Image from thread

The bridge is on an S curve and some eejits fly round it!

Image from thread

Have you seen Day Of The Jackal, I remember reading the book fluffing years ago!

Image from thread

We are just about home now.

Image from thread

It looks like the local team Raith Rovers are playing at home tonight in a couple of hours!

Image from thread

So all that was left for me to cook dinner!

Image from thread

A tasty cheeseburger as on #wednesdaysweeatmeat!

Image from thread

This is also a post to participate in the #wednesdaywalk initiative from the wonderful @tattoodjay

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!
