Hace mucho tiempo perdí todas mis fotos de la época de la universidad y adolescencia, aunque esa pérdida no tenga que ver con un acontecimiento dramático (simplemente las memorias de las PC/laptop que tuve no se pudieron recuperar cuando se dañaron) igualmente a veces me siento mal por todos esos momentos felices o importantes del que solo me quedan flashes en la memoria, cada vez mas imprecisos porque ya sabes, el tiempo no pasa en vano.
A long time ago I lost all my photos from my college and teenage years, although this loss has nothing to do with a dramatic event (simply the memories of the PC/laptop I had could not be recovered when it was damaged), but sometimes I feel bad for all those happy or important moments of which I have only flashes in my memory, more and more vague, because you know, time does not pass in vain.
Pero recientemente recupere un pedacito de memoria de un momento hermoso gracias a @volimut que en su correo de toda la vida parece guardar en mails de hace 1000 años algunas fotos de los eventos manganime al que asistíamos en grupo mas o menos durante 2006-2010 en adelante.
But recently I recovered a little piece of memory of a beautiful moment thanks to @volimut, who in his life mail seems to have kept in mails from 1000 years ago some photos of the manganime events that we attended as a group more or less during 2006-2010 onwards.
No recuerdo la edición o el nombre del evento pero en esta foto esta casi completo el grupo de amigas otaku al que siempre pertenecí, mi segunda familia, mis mejores amigas desde los 16 años; también está la Cosplayer Venezolana que más me ha inspirado con su trabajo (la chica con el traje rojo-blanco) y que aún hoy sigue activa como artista y cosplayer competitiva.
I don't remember the issue or the name of the event, but in this picture is almost complete the group of otaku friends I have always belonged to, my second family, my best friends since I was 16 years old; there is also the Venezuelan Cosplayer who has inspired me the most with her work (the girl in the red and white costume) and who is still active as an artist and competitive cosplayer.
Poder recuperar esta foto es una gran alegría porque me hizo recordar tiempos muy especiales, mas sencillos, la vida era muy dulce y poco complicada; salíamos casi todos los días a comer juntas, los fines de semana nos reuníamos en grupo para hablar de nuestras series y ships favoritos, veíamos animé y planeábamos viajes y cosplays, y no nos importaba pasar todo el día sin comer metidas en un evento de anime y manga comprando mercancía y viendo los concursos pasar.
Being able to find this photo is a great joy because it made me remember very special times, simpler, life was very sweet and uncomplicated; we went out almost every day to eat together, on weekends we met as a group to talk about our favorite series and ships, we watched anime and planned trips and cosplays, and we didn't mind spending the whole day without eating stuck in an anime and manga event buying merchandise and watching the contests go by.
De hecho hoy nos gusta hacer chistes sobre eso, "antes sobrevivíamos todo el día en una convención con solo una bolsa de Dorito, ahora necesitamos tomar ibuprofeno y si nos saltamos una comida se nos baja la tension", nos gusta mucho hacer chistes sobre cómo hemos envejecido... y aunque ya no nos vemos tan seguido como antes por tema de distancia-trabajo, y algunas han emigrado, el cariño es el mismo, seguimos siendo hermanas y sé que será así por muchos años más (por cierto yo soy la del vestido azul y el cabello pintado de rojo zanahoria).
In fact, today we like to joke about it "we used to survive all day at a convention on a bag of Dorito, now we have to take ibuprofen and if we skip a meal our blood pressure drops", we like to joke about how we have aged... and even though we don't see each other as much as we used to because of long distance-work and some of us have emigrated, the affection is the same, we are still sisters and I know it will be for many years to come (by the way, I'm the one in the blue dress with the carrot red hair).
