🇪🇸 ~ Hoy se cumplen 9 días (cronologicamente) de todo lo que te voy a compartir: Sí, logramos la meta en USD, sí, Mimo se recuperó lo suficiente para ser apta para cirugía; la gente que adquirió los scrunchies nos dió un muy lindo feedback tanto del diseño como de los materiales escogidos, y sí, pude dormir y recuperar energías ヾ (¯ ー ¯ (≧ ω ≦ *) ゝ
🇺🇸 ~ Today marks 9 days (chronologically) of everything I want to share with you: Yes, we reached the USD goal; yes, Mimo recovered enough to be fit for surgery; the people who bought the scrunchies gave us very nice feedback on both the design and the materials chosen; and yes, I was able to sleep and regain energy ヾ (¯ ー ¯ (≧ ω ≦ *) ゝ

Aunque la meta original era llevar 6 gatas hembras a cirugía, solo pudimos llevar 3, mi amiga estaba muy triste pero tratamos de consolarla porque enserio nos esforzamos, no fue por falta de compromiso que no llevamos a las otras 3; y como muchas personas me han dicho consolandome también cuando estoy triste por no poder ayudar más gatitos: "Uno ayuda hasta donde puede..."
Although the original goal was to take 6 females to the surgery, we could only take 3. My friend was very sad, but we tried to console her because we really tried, it was not for lack of effort that we did not take the other 3; and as many people have told me, it also consoles me when I am sad that I could not help more kittens: "You help as much as you can..."

¿Cuál fue el destino de los scrunchies?, me parece simpático agregar aquí que la gran mayoría de los scrunchies los compraron maestras, docentes, enfermeros y enfermeras, doctores y doctoras, también algunos vecinos comerciantes con niños pequeños a los que los scrunchies azul, blanco y amarillo combinan muy lindo con los uniformes del colegio... lo que quiero decir es que este grupo de personas son los que se mostraron más preocupados y empáticos con la situación de los gatitos (¡y tal como la ocasión pasada, los vecinos que se quejan de los gatitos no ayudaron ni con un centavo! xD)
What was the fate of the scrunchies? I think it's nice to add here that the vast majority of the scrunchies were purchased by teachers, nurses, doctors, as well as some neighborhood shopkeepers with young children for whom the blue, white, and yellow scrunchies go very nicely with their school uniforms... what I mean is that this group of people were the most concerned and empathetic about the kitten situation (and just like last time, the neighbors complaining about the kittens didn't help with a penny! xD)

El taxi mascota trajo de vuelta a Pesto, Honey y Mimo por la noche, las cirugías salieron muy bien y aunque pagué porque les pusieran fajas post-operatorias (2.5$ c/u), a medida que fueron despertando de la anestesia se alteraron muchísimo y tuve que quitárselas. Mas tarde por la noche fabriqué unas nuevas y se las puse antes de ir desmayarme en mi cama, FUE UN DIA MUY LARGO -CRIES IN KAREN-
The pet taxi brought Pesto, Honey and Mimo back in the evening, the surgeries went very well and although I paid for them to be put in post-op girdles ($2.5 each) when they woke up from the anesthesia they were very upset and I had to take them off. Later that night I made new ones and put them on them before I passed out in my bed, IT HAD BEEN A LONG DAY - CRYING IN KAREN-

La situacion el día de hoy: Las mamá gatito y sus bebés se recuperan muy bien y pasan sus días tranquilos y a salvo, estan resguardados y voy a visitarles + alimentarlos 4 veces al día. Estamos buscando hogares para todos y estoy muy agradecida con todo el cariño que este proyecto a recibido... no creo lo vuelva a hacer pronto porque no estoy en mi 100% (pronto debo ir al doctor y hacerme muchos exámenes) pero seguire ayudando en la medida que pueda a las amigas que continuaran con esta misión. ¡Muchas gracias! 🫂 🐱 💖
Today's situation: The mother kittens and their babies are recovering very well and spending their days calm and safe, they are protected and I go to visit them + feed them 4 times a day. We are looking for homes for all of them and I am very grateful for all the love this project has received... I don't think I will be able to do it again soon because I am not 100% (I have to go to the doctor soon and have many tests) but I will continue to help as much as I can to the friends who will continue this mission. A picture says more than 1000 words: On the left, this is Pesto after her surgery and after 10 days in our care. On the right, this is Pesto about 2 weeks when she was living on the street before we "captured" her, she was a very suspicious kitty... love can do anything.
Una imagen vale más que 1000 palabras: A la izquierda, es Pesto despues de ser operada y llevar unos 10 días bajo nuestros cuidados. A la derecha, es Pesto unas 2 semanas cuando vivía en la calle antes de que la "capturáramos", era una gatita muy desconfiada... el amor todo lo puede.
