🇪🇸 ~ ¡Hola hermosa comunidad de NeedleworkMonday!, hoy en el último "lunes" de 2024 quiero compartir el recorrido creativo de un proyecto muy especial: @nurycos me encargó hacer un totebag temático del personaje "Eeyore" de "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" y el proyecto empezó con la propuesta de un bordado central que sería el protagonista de la pieza (= ノ ω ヽ =)
🇺🇸 ~ Hello beautiful NeedleworkMonday community!, today on the last "Monday" of 2024 I want to share the creative journey of a very special project: @nurycos commissioned me to make a tote bag themed after the character "Eeyore" from "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" and the project started with the proposal of a central embroidery that would be the protagonist of the piece (= ノ ω ヽ =)
Este es el último proyecto "grande" que acepté en 2024 y tuve muchas dificultades para terminarlo a tiempo (cortes de electricidad, viajes al veterinario de emergencia, y muchas interrupciones), pero en el camino pude salvar algunas fotos del proceso, del que en este momento puedo decir que estoy muy orgullosa y feliz cuando hago retrospectiva de todo el trabajo y atención que implicó conseguir este resultado. ¡Espero lo disfruten! ʕ • ᴥ • ʔ 💕
This is the last "big" project I accepted in 2024, and I had many difficulties to finish it in time (power outages, trips to the vet, and many interruptions), but along the way I was able to save some photos of the process, of which at this moment I can say that I am very proud and happy looking back at all the work and attention that went into getting this result. I hope you enjoy it! ʕ • ᴥ • ʔ 💕

✦ Although we both discussed this point a lot and chose an off-white or light cream etamine, we later changed it to a pure white option for a more contrasting effect with the blue ✦
Hasta este punto ya abarcamos todo lo que fue la selección del diseño, la selección de hilos y tonos, la marcación de la tela. Cuando se trata de bordado en punto de cruz la preparación de los materiales toma mucho tiempo y es mejor tener paciencia porque un mal calculo de los espacios y el hilo disponible puede arruinar irreparablemente el proyecto mas adelante.
So far we have covered everything from choosing a design, thread and color to marking the fabric. When it comes to cross-stitch embroidery, preparing the materials takes a lot of time and it is better to be patient because a wrong calculation of the spaces and the available thread can ruin the project irreparably later on.

Este bordado me tomo un aproximado de 5 días poder completarlo, y tuve que retroceder dos veces por errores que cometí al bordar de noche y con cansancio acumulado. Aprendi la lección y despues de arreglarlo, solo seguí bordando el resto durante horas del día. Por cierto, me gusta comenzar a bordar de afuera hacia adentro, pero a algunos artistas textiles les gusta empezar por los detalles mas pequeños, eso es muy curioso.
This embroidery took me about 5 days to complete, and I had to backtrack twice because of mistakes I made while embroidering at night and with accumulated fatigue. I learned my lesson, and after fixing it, I just embroidered the rest during the day. By the way, I like to start embroidering from the outside in, but some textile artists like to start with the smallest details, that's very curious.

Oh, esta es la parte donde todo se puso muy dificil, incluso llegué a creer que debería quitar las flores completamente y re acomodarlas. Mi idea original era colocar mínimo 3 flores, pero por las dimensiones de Eeyore no encontré la manera de que se viera lindo de ese modo, simplemente no funcionaba; por eso hice un cambio de plan a último momento y decidí: 2 flores, con 1 par de hojas cada uno mas 1 brote.
Oh, this is the part where everything got really difficult, I even came to the conclusion that I should remove the flowers altogether and rearrange them. My original idea was to put at least 3 flowers, but because of Eeyore's dimensions I couldn't find a way to make it look nice that way, it just didn't work; so I made a last minute change of plan and decided: 2 flowers, each with 1 pair of leaves plus 1 sprout.
Regresaré pronto con la continuación de este proyecto y de cómo instalé este bordado al totebag, pero quiza actualice uno o dos proyectos o blogs de costura mas pequeños antes, estoy emocionada de poder volver a escribir aquí ヾ (· ω ·) メ (· ω ·) ノ
I'll be back soon with the continuation of this project and how I installed this embroidery on the totebag, but maybe I'll update one or two smaller sewing projects or blogs before then, I'm excited to be able to write here again ヾ (· ω ·) メ (· ω ·) ノ
