The last few days I have been a bit under the weather and haven't been all that active here on Hive. I'm still not one hundred percent, but I figured I was feeling well enough to put together a nice little post anyway. Over the last few days I've spent a fair amount of time in my recliner and rather than stare at the boob tube I decided it was long overdue to sort through some files on my old laptop. It's starting to run more and more slowly as it shows it age, and desperately needs a lot of old files deleted.
While exploring some of the old files I was moving family pictures over to devices/ long term storage devices. Just by chance, I happened to find a small file of a a few silver items I had photographed years and years ago. This happened to be one of them, a silver bar produced by the defunct Patrick Mint in Santa Rosa, California. Sadly the mint burned in the Tubbs Fire back in 2017 along with more than 5,000 other building in the city.
This was an item I picked up as a multi-item deal, I wasn't all that interested in it due to it's condition. But now looking at it I kind of dig it due to it's toning pattern. To be completely honest, I haven't seen this item in years as it's in secure storage along with much of my stack. One of these days I'll really have to start pulling out some of these older items to categorize what to sell when the price is right...
At any rate, this was a silver bar celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the formation of Israel. Although I'm not Jewish I have been there once to see many of the ancient sites, and was even lucky enough to allowed into the Dome of the Rock although I wasn't Muslim. It's a beautiful building! Onto the silver:

About the bar:

This is just about one Troy once of pure silver and as I mentioned the mint has since been destroyed. Right Now they trend for around $150 on eBay, however, in nicer condition than mine. But some people pay a premium for toning, so it might go for a nice price when I do decide to part ways with it. Likely to covert it into gold...
Silver is currently down to around $78 per Troy ounce, so I think that time is still some time off. There are still predictions for silver to hit $150 this year and others to see it drop... Who really knows in the end? There is a continued shortage of the precious metal which means the upside is more likely!

That will wrap up my post for this Wednesday as I try to get myself back to work. I do hope you enjoyed the toned silver bar, the more I look at it now the more I like it! Please feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments below, and thank you for all of your support. It really is greatly appreciated. Have a great week everyone!
