Happy Hive Power Up Day everyone! We all can say goodbye to July and say hello to August. As usual I went ahead and did my power up for the day. I typically don't power up much on HPUD as I tend to do smaller ones throughout the month. This month I haven't been doing it quite as many as I have been investing in other projects that have taken up much of my spare Hive.

So here is the power up for this HPUD!

Fortunately I have been posting regularly and will reach my goal of 5,000 Hive Power, that's going to feel great!

Because HPUD posts are always so short I like to add something else to make it more interesting. Today is no exception!

On streaming I recently I watched the latest Ghostbusters movie, Frozen Empire. It was alright, but nothing nearly as special as the original movie. Then again it would be hard to beat the original just like so many other franchises over the years. They did bring in Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson from the original movies which was a lot of fun to see. They played much more significant roles this time around so from a nostalgia standpoint it made the film more entertaining.

I keep hoping they will be able to talk Rick Moranis out of retirement for a cameo, but no luck so far... I did read this past week that after all of these years they are making the movie Spaceballs 2. Maybe we will see him return as Dark Helmet? Now that would be awesome!

Back to Ghostbusters, seeing the movie got me thinking about a coin I saw recently on Apmex, a precious metals dealer. Every now and again I like to check out coins from the island nation of Niue, because they produce so many beautiful commemorative coins. This last time they had a new one for 2024 celebrating 40 years since the release of the first Ghostbusters movie. They even colorized it with the Ghostbusters symbol!

About the coin:

I think it's a pretty cool coin, they do make an non-color version as well but it's kind of plain. What I found funny was the mintage of the coin, they are making exactly 1984 of them. This corresponding to the year of the original movie release! It is one Troy ounce of pure silver offered at $41.75, more than I would probably pay personally. $35 maybe.... It's one of those that might go up in value, but might not, it's a tough call! But still another fun coin from the tropical paradise of Niue!

That will just about do it for today's post. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I hope you enjoyed it. As always I want to thank everyone for all of your support, it really is greatly appreciated!
