I have been enjoying fall this year quite a bit. Here it doesn't really get all that cold ever, and rarely do I find the need to even use a jacket. But in the morning it has been a little cooler which I really enjoy. The local trees have had their leaves start to change colors. It's been really nice. I hope the fall is treating you well so far this year!

On Wednesdays for the last few months I have been doing an InLeo premium update series, but I've cut that back to twice a month. Mainly because I was getting tired of doing it every week when there are so many other fun things to talk about. Today I'll be giving you another update because I'm at halfway point through my current month of membership. These usually end up being rather short so I tend to add something from my silver stash because I am a member of the silver gold stacker community. Today will be not exception!

First up though is the InLeo premium service. For those unfamiliar, it is a paid service that cost 10 HBD a month or 100 HBD for a year. I prefer the monthly plan because shelling out $100 is a little more painful than I like when avoidable even though in the long run it does cost me $20 more on an annual basis. There are several perks that you don't have on the free frontend usage. The ones I use most often are the longer threads and the ability to edit them as well. I frequently make mistakes when I'm in a hurry and end up having to go back and fix things. I guess the moral of the story is it's faster to not to rush in the first place...

Here is a screenshot of my InLeo premium service countdown, as you can see I have fifteen day remaining. That tells me that sixteen days have already gone by as each membership comes with 31 days of service.

One feature that isn't mentioned in the items above is that premium members get priority curation on their posts that are created on the InLeo frontend. It in no way guarantees a curation but your posts are considered before the non premium ones. So let's jump into the numbers for this month so far.

In my current membership I am sixteen days into it, to date I have created fourteen posts. As far as curation goes from @leo.voter I have seen three curations so far, however two of them were stake based curations. So that leaves just one curation from the InLeo premium so far for $5.40. Then removing the 55% that goes back to InLeo that leaves me with $2.43. Subtracting that sum from my initial investment of 10 HBD I am $7.57 in the red for this period. So my investment of 10 HBD has yet to pay itself off, however there are fifteen days left in the current membership.

I am hopeful that I will yet see the membership pay for itself and make some profit for this month. I have cut these posts back to twice a month now so the next update will be in two weeks right as the membership is ending. Then I can give you a more complete update for the entire period.

Now for some silver fun!

Today I want to share another of my Silver Striker tokens that I have collected over the years. These are commemorative casino tokens that are made with pure silver and were paid out when playing the Silver Strike slot machines in casinos around the globe. There aren't many casinos that have them anymore, out of curiosity I did an internet search and in Las Vegas there are two small casinos that still have them. Almost all casinos used to have them, so I think these are destined to vanish completely in the near future.

Today's token didn't come from Vegas, but it does come from a defunct casino which are my favorite one's to collect. This came from the Sundowner Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada. I picked this one up as part of a bulk buy I did years ago, while it's not the prettiest one I own it's still interesting and has some reddish oxidation it likely picked up from being stored in a high humidity environment at some point. Have a look:

From silverstrikers.com

This is a nice token containing around 0.65 Troy ounces of silver surrounded by a brass ring. It's a piece of Nevada history now as the casino closed down over 20 years ago. As a general rule I don't pick up Reno, Nevada tokens, I have nothing against them I just haven't consciously ever collected them. What's nice about collecting these is the precious metal content, and plus since these tokens aren't being produced anymore the premiums on top of the silver prices have been climbing!

The Sundowner Hotel and Casino was opened in 1975 and expanded in the following years. But as is always the case a bigger resort/casino is built and eventually it was forced to shutdown in 2003 because it was losing money. It was briefly reopened as the Belvedere providing condos but during renovations a fire set them back significantly. Currently the property stands unused and with no clear plan for the future, it may eventually just be demolished...

That will wrap up my post for the day today. I hope you enjoyed my content, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and check it out. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below. I want to thank everyone for all of your support, it really is truly appreciated. Have a great day everyone!

And as always I am giving back 10% of this post's earnings through Comment Rewarder to those who engage my posts within the first three days of publication. My way to say thank you!

DUO token

Image from thread

Over three months ago now I started a new token with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman with the goal of helping onboard and retain new members, and DUO was born. While we are still in the early phases it has grown quickly and currently has about 22,148 Hive Power in the curation account. For those who purchase and stake at least 200 tokens they are rewarded with a daily curation on their quality posts and daily Hive dividends. For those staking over 500 you have the ability to use the tipping bot and give out a DUO tip daily, and in return you also receive the same amount of DUO in your account as well. It pays to tip with DUO! Plus not many people out there have enough to tip yet, so it's pretty cool to give out DUO tips.

Right now tokens are one Hive a piece until the current tranche runs out, then it jumps to 1.5 Hive each. So get in early while it's still inexpensive! You can find DUO for sale here:
