Hard to believe that it's already Friday... Overall it's been a good week, and not overly busy which is a nice change. It also gave me a little more time to focus on engaging more on Hive. I can't complain here at all, the weather's been great and I've had a productive week. Things rarely happen according to plan, so it's kind of nice!

Since it's Friday I will be participating once again in Nineties Friday. It's a weekly event started by @geneeverett where you can share anything from the decade of the 1990's, as I've said before your imagination really is the limit. To participate just compose an original post sharing whatever you like from the decade and use the tag #ninetiesfriday or join the Nineties Friday group and you can post it there. Always a good idea to do a shoutout to @geneeverett as well. Each week one random participant will win six HSBI units, three from Gene and three from me. So please feel free to join in the fun!

This week I think we'll start out with a western feel, and just see where we go from there. Here we go!

Tombstone

In 1993 this hit movie was released with an all star cast featuring the events based around the life of Wyatt Earp and the events that took place in Tombstone, Arizona in the early 1880's. This includes the legendary shootout at the O.K. Corral. Much of the film was based on historical events but Hollywood added their changes to make it more exciting. Starring Kurt Russel and Val Kilmer among other heavy weight actors, it was made to be a mark on Hollywood history. Overall a great movie if you haven't seen it, and Val Kilmer's performance as Doc Holliday is unforgettable.

This 1995 film was the second chapter of the Mariachi trilogy by Robert Rodriguez. It stars Antonio Banderas and was a breakout role for actress Salma Hayek. It was a great action film with plenty of shooting and violence based in Mexico. This is a fun film if you're a fan of action, or of Antonio Banderas or Salma Hayek. They both did a great job in this film!

Weezer

Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1992 and within two years had already signed a record deal. They have been a prolific band producing great music over the years. Their self titled debut album had multiple hit songs, probably the most memorable of the bunch was "Buddy Holly":

This band from New York City formed in 1988 and hit it big with a couple big hits in 1991. Interesting side note John Popper was a member of this band before leaving to focus on the next band in this list. The two bands frequently play together. In 1991 their album "Full of Kryptonite" produced this hit song, "Two Princes":

Formed in 1987 in New Jersey, this band took their time to find their way into the mainstream. In 1990 they released their debut album that was self titled with the lead song "But Anyway". It didn't get much attention until their breakthrough album "four" in 1994 and later became a hit song. Here's "But Anyway":

This band from Orange County, California formed in 1986 and took several years to really gain a lot of traction. They were a ska band at heart and although their early albums were great, they didn't get a large audience until 1995 with their album "Tragic Kingdom". This song technically came in 2001, but it still has that 90's feel, here's "Hey Baby":

This band formed in 1991 in Denton, Texas and is best known for their song I'm sharing here in this post. Although they produced several albums, in 1995 their album "Home" hit one out of the park with their one hit wonder, "Breakfast At Tiffany's":
