This week I decided it might be fun to start participating with the #saturdaysavers group for a couple of reasons. First to motivate me to reach my goals more quickly and secondly to help me see my progress week by week which I haven't really been doing up until now. I'm also a member of the #silvergoldstackers so I'll throw in a little bit of shiny gold as well!

Thirteen days ago I had a Hive Power level of 2621. Not too bad, but since I have a goal to reach 5K by years end organically, I sure need to see that increase. As of this morning I have 2716 HP, so a climb or 95 over the last thirteen days. There were several days I missed posting and a Hive Power Up Day in there as well. So over the next eight months I need to add a little less than 2300 HP, and I think that is still doable. I'll just have to make sure I am consistent with daily posting.

My secondary goal was to reach 50K PIMP. I'm not doing so well on this one. I'm at 14,913 as of this morning. That means I have a long way to go on this goal and I'm going to have to start purchasing more PIMP over the coming months. I was at 13.5 K thirteen days ago so I have made some headway! #pimp is one of may favorite tokens on Hive, as it is the only one backed by physical silver in the PIMP vault, so no matter what it will always have value!

I have recently been trying to pick up some more EDSMM (EDS miners) in order to produce more EDS token. They can be expensive so I'm always searching for deals. I don't have a set goal on the miners or EDS. I do like EDS as it provides a weekly Hive dividend.

I don't have any other fixed H-E token goals, but that is sure to shift as the year progresses.

Moving on to the gold! I do love gold, especially when I find it myself in the ground or in a stream. There really is nothing like finding your first gold, once you catch gold fever you will always want to go back and search for more. Today's nugget was one I found panning for gold in Southern California in Ventura county. California mountains really are still full of gold if you know where to look!

This small nugget weighs about 0.9 grams, so it's not the biggest nugget I ever found but it really cleaned up nicely.

What's interesting about this nugget is several edges are relatively smooth while some others are jagged. This means it probably was attached to a gold vein upstream and was eroded smooth before breaking off leaving the jagged edges. I headed upstream with my gold hunting buddy in an attempt to find the vein, but it must have been pretty far away since we couldn't find it. Once we came up against some steep inclines with rapids in the river below we wisely walked away.

Like I always say in my treasure/ gold hunting posts, no treasure is worth dying for! I did find some fine gold in the same area that I found this nugget, so it was a great day in the mountains!

If you are interested in gold prospecting you should check for groups of local prospectors who can help you get started with the right equipment. They likely will let you tag along to some promising areas to search as well. It's a great hobby and a fun way to spend a day in the great outdoors.

I believe in addition to stacking crypto it's wise to stack up silver and gold. Fiat will lose value as more and more is printed but precious metals will always have value.

That will do it for my post today. I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Disclaimer:

I'm not a financial advisor and this isn't financial advice, please always do your own research before spending your hard earned money.

If you do go treasure/ gold hunting always make sure you are safe and don't risk your life, you can't enjoy the treasure if you're dead! It's also wise to bring along a buddy just in case.
