I have always loved the weekend. I guess in got ingrained into my brain since I was a schoolkid. Now that I am semi-retired I seem to be busier than ever, somehow I thought I would have more free time. But I still enjoy the weekends and reserve the time to relax and recharge.

The last few weeks I have been participating in the #saturdaysavers group and posting about my growth on Hive over the past week. So let's get started!

Hive Power

Last week I had 2759 HP on the way to the goal of 5K HP by year's end, but done organically. I want to prove it can be done! This morning I am at 2820 HP, so a increase of 61 HP. Not too bad but I'm going to have to be more careful about taking days off if I'm going to make it to 5K or surpass it by year's end. So there is definitely room for improvement!

PIMP

A secondary goal of mine is the stack up at least 50K PIMP token by the year's end. I have made some nice progress on this front. Last week I had 17,272 PIMP and this week I have a balance of 20,167. A significant improvement as I have been buying tokens at low prices, but it's still a long road to achieve 50K. With and investment in 5K tokens a month I should make it very easily!

PIMP is one of my favorite projects and as I have mentioned previously it is the only token that is backed by physical silver. So no matter what happens it will always be worth something because there are physical silver bars sitting in the PIMP vault. I think it's a smart investment and is being run by @enginewitty , a very solid and reliable guy here on Hive!

Other Projects

I also have been investing in several other projects but I don't have any fixed goals on any of these. I have been buying EDSMM which are miners for EDS tokens. Although they don't really mine, it's a mining lottery. The more you have the more EDS you can accumulate. I hope to continue to pick up EDSMM whenever I can find a good deal although I have no real goals set.

I have been picking up small pieces of DBOND and DAB as well. Staked DAB pays out in the form of more DBOND, and staked DBOND pay out in the form of a lottery to win DAB. I really like this investment as it comes from the same team behind SPI and EDS tokens. They have a proven track record of stable and slow growth, or better put by them "getting rich slowly".

DRIP continues to pay out daily dividends although I only bought twelve. I may purchase some more in the near future. I also delegated some HP to empo.voter to receive PWR tokens. I have nearly 0.5 so far, it may be time to increase my delegation!

I always like to share some cool silver I have picked up recently as an investment as I am a member of #silvergoldstackers . I didn't pick this up this week but it wasn't too long ago. It's a really cool silver bar featuring Dwight D. Eisenhower.

From numista.com

It's a beautiful 25 gram bar made of 99.9% silver. I had never seen one before so when I saw it I snatched it up and only paid spot, so I was a very happy camper. At the time I knew nothing about it, but it turns out it is more than 50 years old. It's sure holding up better than I am!

Dwight D. Eisenhower was an accomplished military officer and the 34th President of the United States. Born in Denison, Texas on October 14th, 1890 he would become a five star general and supreme commander of the allied forces in Europe in World War II. He oversaw the invasion of Normandy, France in 1944 which was a huge operation. After the successful end of the war in Europe he was elected president of the United States and served from 1953 until 1961.

One of his most notable achievements was the creation of the interstate highways throughout the United States. Although created for military purposes they became a huge economic boost as it simplified interstate transport of goods. He also ended the Korean conflict and pushed the progress of the US space program to compete with the USSR after their successful deployment of the Sputnik satellite.

He was an impressive man to say the least. He was featured on the US dollar coin after his death in 1969 from 1970 until 1978. I collected those dollar coins since I was kid, it was a shame they discontinued them after such a short run. They are a great coin to collect since they were produced for such a short time, and you can easily pick up all of the coins to complete a collection. Best of all some of them are made with silver!

That will do it for my post today. I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any questions, comments , or suggestions please feel free to leave them below. Thanks for stopping by!

Keep on stacking!
