On a Saturday morning not too long ago I was running some errands in Long Beach, California and decided to stop by a jewelry shop I like to frequent. Not to look for jewelry though, since I'm currently a single guy and I've never been a jewelry fan. It just always seems to get in the way... But anyway, I go there to look for silver or gold items the owner has bought from customers who basically need cash fast. Most of it he sends it off to the refinery to be melted down.

When I arrived it was early and no one else was there so he pulled out his tray of items he had recently bought knowing exactly why I was there. I have frequented his shop every couple weeks for years so we've become pretty good friends and he saves things he thinks I might like. This item was mixed in with everything, but it was it was just unique so I bought it along with a few other nice items.

I didn't know much about it but I did recognize the company MK Barz, they produce all sorts of poured silver and many really nice items. Have a look:

It turns out that this was a recent addition to their Viking series, so it's a relatively new item. I'm not sure how it' ended up at the jewelry shop but he gave it to me a silver spot so it was great deal! One Troy ounce of pure silver poured into a very cool bar. The irony is on their site these sell for more than double what I payed, so I was a very happy camper!

It turns out that MK Barz was established in Los Angeles, California in 2014 and produce some really some very high quality poured silver. Prior to joining the #silvergoldstackers I never really bought poured silver, I was more of a coin guy. Since then I have come to appreciate the beauty and genius of poured silver. It's beautiful and raw at the same time.

I took a screenshot of their about us page, just look at the cool stuff they produce!

Does anyone else have any of their stuff?

That will do it for my post today. I meant to finish this up yesterday but just ran out time! I've been having a couple busy weeks, so I'm taking my Sunday nice and lazy. I think it's about time for a beer and veg out in front of the TV! Have a great weekend everyone!

And my disclaimer:

Gold and silver collecting and stacking can be a fun hobby but isn't for everyone. You can lose money. I'm not a financial advisor and this isn't financial advice, please always do your own research before spending your hard earned money.
