Artificial General Intelligence is a level of technology that most AI enthusiasts look forward to and that of course includes myself. But I heard Sam Altman the CEO of OpenAI say that although he's anticipating AGI to be existing in the next five year, he doesn't believe it'll make s much impact as we thought.
Well he doesn't the impact we're expecting will be an immediate one that changes our lives completely. I agree with him. Regardless of how powerful a technology is, it'll still take time before it dominates the entire world, before it dominates countries and cultures.
We're expecting AGI, the next Level AI would get too where it does things even we humans can't do. I'm still doing my research to find out everything AGI can do we can't and I'll make a whole blog about it when I'm through but we should definitely expect some high tech functionalities.
At the moment, AI does things we can also do, the difference is mainly on the fact that it does Those things on its own without humans involvement.
You can open an AI image generator, describe an imaginary it should generate and in a matter of seconds, it creates something that'll take a while even for the best artists. So time is a value and also we get to experiment with so many fun ideas like generating an image of Donald Trump standing next to a cow drinking beer. This is something we know is impossible to happen.
A cow doesn't drink beer but an AI can make it happen. What's even more impossible is to get Trump stand next to one🤣. Alright enough with the disrespectful jokes, that's our new president of United States of America, gotta respect the man🤣.
Regardless of how long it takes, AGI will be here and it'll do way more than AI is doing right now.
