Seeing Jey Uso last week on SmackDown was like seeing someone finally get fed up with endless attempts to repair the unrepairable. He didn't throw a punch at Solo, and he sure didn't swing at Roman, he just walked away.
And that said more than any fistfight could.
This isn't just about Roman or Solo. It's about Jey taking back control of his narrative. For too long, he's been embroiled in this unending soap opera with The Bloodline, and when you're in that kind of crazy mess, it's real easy to lose sight of what you really want.
You begin to consider that everything is a contest you have to win, but often, the route to peace is simply stepping away from the tumult.
Damn I got my quotes on.
Anyways, Jey still has that Intercontinental title belt, but we know he's in for anything but a smooth ride from here on out. The Bloodline is still after him (with solo looking for acknowledgement and Jimmy for his twinny) , no way are they going to let him carry that title and Yeet along in peace.
So whether it’s Solo or someone else (bron Breakker), the price Jey’s likely going to pay is something he’s maybe okay with. He’s probably on borrowed time, but maybe he’s fighting a fight for once that is actually his.
The drama continues tonight on Monday Night Raw.
