So, today I wanted to work but one or two things happened and I found myself picking one of the movies that I've already downloaded and I decided to watch it. The title of the movie is Disclosure Day. The reason why I downloaded this movie is because of the trailer that I saw on which was so powerful and touching.

It was anticipation. Only for me to find that it was that anticipation that was fed throughout the movie. There was no real thing at the end.

Or maybe, will I even say the end? It was not even surprising at all. So, let me start. What happened was that in the trailer of the movie, they show a fight scene where two people are trying to jump on a train and it's given this kind of James Bond franchise kind of a train fight of a thing.

Like they are trying to save a girl to get on a train. So, in that trailer, you will think that the movie is going to be one high-adrenaline movie just like Transformers, like Fast and Furious, like all these fight scenes, like Extraction and the likes. But tell me, why did this movie not have a single fight scene except that trailer run?

Another thing that got me pissed off with the movie, I'm supposed to give a review of the movie but the way it's looking, I'm pissed off.

So, I'll just rant it out just that way.

Second thing is that from the beginning of the movie, they created this anticipation, this eagerness to know what is going on. You want to know the secret that they are keeping.

Is it top secret information? Is it something that the government will not want to put out? Is it something that is top secret of the top secrets that only the president should know? You know, this kind of a thing that you show in movie and stuff like that. But it caught me surprised if I tell you that the secret is not something that is new. But the way the guys even handle it in the movies as if if the whole world comes to know the secret, everything is going to turn upside down.

We are going to enter World War 3. The world is going to come to an end. People will stop believing in God. All manner of things like that, they created this anticipation.I fell for it though

And even at the end of the movie, when all truth has been let loose, there is still no surprises. Isn't that, I don't know what to call it. I was not even surprised because the major guy in the movie was actually telling his girlfriend Jane that if the whole world comes to know this kind of information, everything is going to topple upside down.

What we got to know in this world is going to disappear. We are going to do this. We are going to do that.

World War 3 is going to happen. Blah, blah, blah. Goes on like that.

By the time the movie got to maybe 20 minutes to the end or 30 minutes to the end, we got to know what they were hiding. And even when I saw it, there was nothing to be surprised about it. And I know the world will not come to an end.

And I have my reason.

Reason number one. There is no amount of information or secrecy that this whole world holds that, if the entire world decides to know today, that will topple the whole world upside down.

In fact, World War 1 and World War 2 did not occur because of a secret that was revealed. So even if you discover something that has been kept for so many years back and you decide to release it today, it cannot topple the whole world over. I don't know why people think that way.

I don't know who wrote the script of the movie. And I was surprised to see that Steven Spielberg, who is a renowned filmmaker, is the one who produced this movie. You can imagine.

Number two is that there is no amount of anticipation that you can create in this world that will make people to want to turn things upside down. I want to tell you that one of the things that caused riots, fights and world war, is either hunger, starvation, oppression by the government or betrayal. Those are the things that caused world wars to happen. Not a breakout of a news.

And many of these things precipitate with time. It's not that they can just bust open just like that. So if the whole world comes to the knowledge of what the movie is trying to project towards, that if the whole world comes to the knowledge of the secrets that these WARDEX are actually holding, the entire world is going to turn upside down.

I am so happy that in the movie, there was a place where Jane called a reverend sister and decided to interrogate the reverend sister that if there are informations in this world that you don't know and you get to know, or you find out that there are some beings that are bigger. I like the reply of the reverend sister. She told Jane that God created man to be the most supreme being on earth.

There are other universe. So that explains our question. So in case you have somebody feeding with all this sci-fi revelation that we are not the only ones here on earth, aliens are here on earth, this and that.

The United States and NASA, they are holding a lot of secrets, this and that. Trust me, even if you have that, knows thata and those aliens, it's not going to change anything. Those who will believe in God will keep on believing in God.

Those who will go for Scientologists will keep on being Scientologists. Atheist will not increase or decrease, no matter what. If, with the absence of aliens on earth at this present instance, and we have not seen a heavy shift in religious activities, aliens is not going to do that.

The knowledge of aliens is not really going to do that. And the last thing that pissed me off about the movie was the fact that it was directed by Steven Spielberg. I was like, come on, Steven Spielberg has a long array of great movies that he has done in time past. Image from thread
And this kind of a movie shouldn't be the one that will be done by him, but it is what it is. I actually felt a little bit bad watching this movie because it's more than two hours. I felt that I wasted a whole two hours watching this movie.

I could have done better watching : The Blacklist, a season film. I'm presently in season episode 15 or so. So, and I'm enjoying The Blacklist with every episode of it.

But this Disclosure Day, the entire trailer and anticipation of the movie is in the title, nothing else. And that's not good at all in any way.

I give the movie 6/10
