My first Hive earnings came in 2024, even though I joined the platform in 2023. When I first signed up, I wasn't consistent because I honestly doubted if anything good could come out of it. I kept asking myself, "How much can I really earn by writing posts?" It felt like I was spending my time on something that might never pay off, so I gradually stopped posting.
Everything changed one day when I visited @princessbusayo, the person who introduced me to Hive. During our conversation, she encouraged me not to give up. She shared her own experience and told me she bought her Samsung phone with the money she withdrew from Hive. I knew Samsung phones weren't cheap, so hearing that really surprised me. That was the moment I knew that people were actually earning real money on Hive. I thought to myself, "If she can buy a phone with her Hive earnings, then this platform is definitely worth taking seriously."
When I got home, I decided to give Hive another chance. I started writing and posting again, and this time I promised myself I would be consistent. Instead of worrying about how much I would earn from each post, I focused on showing up regularly and enjoying the process.
A few months later, in 2024, I urgently needed money to complete the amount I had already saved to buy a new phone. I remembered that I had some earnings on Hive, so I chatted @princessbusayo on Whatsapp and told her I wanted to withdraw my Hive earnings. She patiently explained the withdrawal process to me and asked me to transfer the Hive to her so she could help me sell it. I did exactly that, and after everything was completed, she transferred ₦15,000 to my account.
I was so happy! It wasn't just because of the money, but because it was the first time I had actually received cash from Hive. That moment completely changed my mindset. All the doubts I had when I first joined disappeared. Seeing the money in my bank account made me realize that Hive is real and that consistency truly pays off.
Since then, I have taken Hive much more seriously. I may not have withdrawn a huge amount yet because I usually withdraw only small amounts whenever I need them, but I have successfully withdrawn about three times so far. Every withdrawal encouraged me to keep writing and reminds me that consistently pay off.
Looking back now, I'm glad I didn't quit completely. If I had allowed my doubts to win, I would have missed out on an opportunity to earn extra income while doing something I enjoy. My Hive journey has taught me that patience, consistency, and believing in the process are very important.
I am hoping and believing that one day, I will also withdraw more than hundred thousand naira on hive. I have read story of people that have withdraw hundred thousand. Soon that will be my testimony too.
