Again I must confess before anything else “Never knew that I am a long-time lover of affirmative words” I say so because it's one love language of mine and only recently did I discover that.
Alright, we won't divert the lane, or should we? Lol
Not when I have something interesting to tell you about myself. Well, I wouldn't call it a “ritual” per se but yes, it's a must-happen to-do list every day of my life and it began the very day I knew the power of nature.
Wait, let's flip that over and that's to say, the power we have over nature.
As a believer of Christ, and the creation story we read from the holy Bible rhar spoke about how the garden of Eden came into existence, plants, and animals, and then how the creator gave man (man) the authority to rule over fish in the sea, fowl of the air. And all other of its creatures, every of its kind.
The best part that pulled the trigger was that the animals be it domestic and wild were all single-handedly named by (Adam).
So I think I've stated a little too much without letting my point out, so there's it..
I believe solely in nature, I believe that there are supernatural forces that are blinded to the natural eyes and I believe in man's superiority over nature and that's where “commanding the day comes in”.
Waking up every morning, and sometimes from a short nap, the first words that leave my mouth are “Thank you, Jesus”.
This is for me.
Those words come out so naturally and sometimes unconsciously because of how often I say them. And so like I mentioned earlier, speaking positivity to my day is a daily routine that could come in any form, sometimes through songs and oftentimes through direct words.
It’s a time, when I look into a cup of water like I could communicate with it, professing my daily words.. and that also applies to the soil, sky, air, breeze, and others.
At first, it looked absurd, but my mom thought so. I wouldn’t blame her tho.. lol not when she had witnessed me talking to inanimate objects and tried stopping me from it.. she would always say “Victory, you haven’t still dropped this habit of yours”
Her words to date.
They say, what you believe in, is what works for you, and commanding my day is one habitual routine of mine for as long as I can remember, and whether or not it goes smoothly, you will still find me in this same way “Thank you, Jesus”.
And yes, I’ve never had any cause to regret that which I solely believe in.
