Hi Ladies, Welcome to my blog, So One of my absolute favourite things to enjoy during the holiday season is good food and I don’t even mean just the eating part, for me, the whole process is part of the joy, I love that moment when I go to the market, carrying my list and calculating everything in my head, and I’m picking out ingredients that I know will last throughout the festive period, There is just something about buying foodstuffs in December that hits differently, maybe it is the excitement in the air, maybe it is the idea that I’m stocking up for enjoyment, but it always feels good.
And you know how it is during this period schools are closed, children are everywhere, people are visiting, neighbours are knocking, and before you know it, your pot is working overtime, T
that is why I like to buy enough food that will carry me through, I don’t like the stress of running to the market every minute, especially with the rush and high prices, so once I stock up, I already feel settled, I just love knowing that there is always something to eat in the house, something to cook quickly, something to share.

That is the biggest part for me, the sharing, the festive period is really a season of love, It is that time when even ordinary food tastes special because you are giving it to someone else or receiving it from them, I like that feeling of knowing I can dish out food to neighbours, friends, or even just random visitors who show up, Growing up, I remember how houses used to exchange plates of food during Christmas, and even though things have changed a bit now, I still try to keep that spirit alive, Even if it is small, I believe sharing something during this season carries a different kind of joy.
Honestly, sometimes it’s not even the food itself but the atmosphere around it, the smell of cooking, the children running around, the laughter, the reminders of how blessed we are to see another year, food becomes like the center of everything, conversations happen around it, families come together because of it, memories are created over it, So for me, enjoying food during the holidays goes deeper than just filling the stomach, it is a whole experience that brings people closer.
Another thing I enjoy is the calm that comes after a good meal, there is a certain peace that settles in when everyone is full and happy, Sometimes after cooking, I just sit down, sip something cold or warm, and watch everyone enjoy what I prepared, It makes the stress worth it.
So yes, my favourite thing during the holiday season will always be the food, cooking it, buying it, eating it, and especially sharing it, It is one tradition I don’t think I will ever outgrow, Every year, no matter how things change, this part of the festive season remains constant for me, It is my own little way of celebrating love, family, and gratitude.
