Today I have something that's also crazy looking. And creepy. Very creepy ๐จ๐ ๐
Meet the caterpillar stage of the Pasha butterfly:
It's literally like a regular caterpillar with a Halloween mask ๐
Scientifically described as Herona marathus, the species occurs in India:
It is fairly common up to 4000 ft (1200 m) in the Sikkim-Darjeeling area. Most frequent between 2000 and 3000 ft (600โ900 m). source
No idea where the fuck that is ๐ ๐
In case you wonder, there's nothing special or creepy about adults. They just look like yet another boring butterfly:
