My very first Goldback wooohooo ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

But let's take things from the start!

It's been sometime now since I wanted to buy a few goldbacks from my collection.

In case you haven't heard them, these are some really cool pieces minted by a private company called Goldback Inc.

They are shaped like regular money and made of two clear layers of polyester with a bit of 24 k gold inside. The one I got is the cheapest one, goes for about 4-5 $ and has 1/1000th of a troy ounce of gold.

Essentially they are a bit of money, a bit of art, a bit of gold and a bit of collectables. Something like pokemon cards but with gold inside. When it comes to premium they are a bit expensive if you are into them just for the gold, as it is around 100%! But they are super fun to have and easy to resell for the same price, so does it really matter? Not to mention there are a few thousand small businesses in the U.S. accepting them! I believe they are even considered legal tender in some states due to being "gold" but not really sure on that!

Anyways, as I was just saying it's been a while since I wanted to get some. But pretty much nobody sells them in my little corner of the world.

So I asked in the silvergoldstackers community here on hive and many came to my rescue and offered to mail me some!

This one is from @dfinney who was kind enough to gift it to me! And I just can't thank her enough! She literally broke my Goldback virginity and it felt really nice I must say!

She even send it in a really cute envelope with stickers and everything!

Trust me, it looks and feels way better from up close! I am officially a huge fun of GoldBacks!

This particular goldback goes as "1 New Hampshire Goldback - Gratia, 1/1000th Troy Oz 24K Gold-Backed Bill" and my guess is that the sexy Indian on it is Gratia Countryman

Gratia Alta Countryman (pronounced gray-sha) (November 29, 1866 โ€“ July 26, 1953) was a nationally-known librarian who led the Minneapolis Public Library from 1904 to 1936. She was the daughter of immigrant farmers Alta and Levi Countryman.[1] She pioneered many ways to make the library more accessible and user-friendly to all of the city's residents, regardless of age or economic position.Countryman was called the "first lady of Minneapolis" and the "Jane Addams of the libraries". source

Or maybe it's some other Gratia lady? Dunno, too lazy to check at this point lmao!

Ok friends, this concludes today's post. I really can't wait for the next ones which are probably coming soon! One piece from @bulliontools and two from @summertooth!

Thanks again @dfinney you really really really made my day ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
