What's up plebs?
In today's post I am sharing on of the handful silver coins I have from Serbia.
A 1 Dinar from 1912! Let's check it out:
As the Cyrillic text (ПЕТАР I. КРАЉ СРБИЈЕ SCHWARTZ) informs us, the obverse of the coin features a portrait of "Peter I King of Serbia".
Peter I (11 July - 16 August 1921) reigned during a period of great Serbian military success and as a result he was remembered by Serbians as King Peter the Liberator and as the Old King.

During his time the country saw many reforms with his reign considered as the “Golden Age of Serbia”, due to the unrestricted political freedoms, free press, and cultural ascendancy among South Slavs who finally saw in democratic Serbia a Piedmont of South Slavs. source.
In 1918 he also ecame the first king of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, after world war I and kept the title until his death three years later.

Let's now check the or l coin from the reverse:
Again in Cyrillic, we have the Denomination and date. 1 ДИНАР for 1 Dinar.
The dinar is still the currency of Serbia, since the medieval times, with the earliest use dating back to 1214! Of course it has gone several revisions and shit. Today 1 Dinar is about 0.0093.
As for the coin in this post, it stopped being legal tender in 1920, when the first modern dinar was replaced by the Yugoslav Dinar.
As for the edge of the coin, it's just milled. No engravings or anything else special. Sorry, no photo because I would need to rip the paper capsule thingie.
