As you may have noticed from my posts, I am a sucker for hive (and steem before that) themed merchandise. Most of it is comprised of silver rounds and other silver stuff from the #silvergoldstackers, but I also have a couple of hive and dcity stickers from @summeetooth.
Anyways, a couple months ago I saw a cool SPI/LBI/HIVE merc set on a comment by @silverstackeruk who runs the lbi, eddieearner, SPI and most recently DAB projects on hive engine. Although I don't own any SPI, I do hold tokens of the other three projects and I immediately wanted one for myself so I contacted him.
He didn't want any money, but he did ask me to buy and burn some SPI. Nothing special, about 10$ worth of SPI I think. Dunno if that offer is still on the table, but I do know I am glad I immediately took it when it was :)
And it arrived just now, a perfect early Christmas gift ^_^ 🎄🎁
So, without further ado, here's a quick peak of what I got:
What an over the top package! A hive/SPI mug,a hive pen, an spi pen, lbi stickers, hive stickers, a hive magnet/beer opener, an spi themed deck of cards and some SPI magnets. Probably more I forget. There was even some chocolate and candy, but most of it ended up in my belly before the photoshoot 🤫😅

Since this is a hive-related post I figured to take the opportunity and talk a bit about my latest hive shenanigans. Generally speaking, I have stopped making hive posts cause they feel cringy but what the heck.
So, for the past few days I have been accumulating zing tokens, the game currency of holozing. I ignored the game for a while (to avoid fomoing in a high price) other than occasionally claiming my juicy POSH airdrop, which turned out to be smart...At least for now. Today after a few days of buying I broke the top - 40 in the richlist and I guess I'll stop buying when I hit a number around top 20. Depending on how they game develops, I may continue dcaing small amounts of hive on a daily basis.
The game isn't out yet, probably at least 6 months since it launches in some basic form or whatever.
So why did I decide to invest? Well, for starters it has attracted a good chunk of the hive community, I would hate to miss a new splinter lands train, even if it's just 10 % as successful.
I also like some names in the rich list like @onealfa and @tarazkp who are are long term hive holders, so I guess they won't dump on the first good opportunity. I also like how @acidyo is actually buying tokens instead of airdropping himself a dev share. And I also like how he is working on (at least supposedly) bridging the project with other chains, where the big money is at.
Sure, many just buy zing to blog about holozing hoping for a juicy vote from the holozing trail, but if you think of it.. it's just another use case for the token, and unique to hive. At the end of the day, If they buy, hodl and spread the word it's all that matters :)
So to conclude..Risk wise, it feels like a good opportunity atm, as you only need about 1000 hive to get a small whale sized stake. 🐋🐋
