Hello, sweet people! Whatever is going on right now in your life, you'll get pass it.

If you have a hobby or a project you have abandoned for a while, this is a sign to take it back.

I've had a 3D printer for a while, but it has been sitting there collecting dust, for various reasons, one that I didn't have enough filament until short ago, but the most important, the electric cuts make hard to print something that requires time. So I decided to start testing with small projects.

A friend came over to help me get the machine started. I had printed some test before but then I had some issues, the filament was not sticking to the heated bed, not even touching, I don't know how but the bed wasn't leveled anymore, I hadn't moved it up to that point so no clue what happened. My friend helped me now, years later, and finally we got it to print again. We spent like two or three hours leveling it, mostly because my printer is completely manual, so we had to verify each point several times, also because the whole point was that I learned to level it myself.

The tests were a mystery to me, I had no idea what I was looking at, so many lines, and they all looked wrong to me. Still, I found some parameters that worked with my printer and my new filament,

After finding some parameters that for my noob judgement looked good for my printer, I started printing some famous 3D Benchys.

I found my first problem... somehow, the right ride prints incorrectly. I printed one model with the front of the boat looking to the left and another one looking to the right, and the side on the right always ended up crooked, and to this day I'm not sure if I have an air current cooling one side too fast or some other factor. I cleaned the nozzle and it seemed to make a difference but not so much, I still saw some problems, but had to start making other prints and tests anyway until I can observe enough to identify where the problems are coming from.

I get bored and distracted easily, so I decided to keep testing with different prints, even changed the filament, although that meant messing with the temperature parameters again. But it was really a good practice after having the time my printer was just being an expensive ornament. I got a clip to close bags, and a topper with my dad's name on it.

This was the must beautiful print I got, a nice Shuriken, it looks great on top, the bottom is a little rougher because of the supports, but its great. Finally got a little gadget to play, looks good, and I learned a lot in the process.
