Being a Chelsea supporter seriously comes with different emotions. Sometimes we celebrate beautiful football and important victories, while at other times we are left wondering what went wrong. Unfortunately, this past week has been one of those difficult periods for us.

Between 24 and 30 October, Chelsea played two important matches but failed to win either. We lost 2–0 to Tottenham in the Premier League before getting eliminated by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup after a penalty shootout. These results have left me with mixed feelings about where the team is heading under Xabi Alonso.
Our defeat against Tottenham was particularly painful because it happened at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea struggled to create meaningful attacking opportunities, and playing without João Pedro clearly affected our attacking movement. Mike Penders also had an unfortunate moment with an own goal, while Cole Palmer's red card made things even more difficult. Mathys Tel eventually added Tottenham's second goal in the closing stage of the game and that's what break my heart.
I was disappointed because I expected much more from the team, especially at home.
Against Liverpool, however, I saw some improvement. Chelsea showed more fight and competed better, but unfortunately, we could not secure qualification. Morgan Rogers scored before Cody Gakpo equalised, and the game eventually went to penalties. Wesley Fofana missed the decisive kick, ending our Carabao Cup journey.
Another concern is the injury situation. João Pedro is expected to miss a few weeks with a thigh injury, while there are also concerns surrounding Maxence Lacroix. Caicedo and Malo Gusto have had minor fitness issues to monitor. These are important players, and losing several squad members at the same time could affect our performances.
One player I am particularly interested in seeing more often is Estêvão. The youngster has enormous potential, and I believe giving him regular opportunities will help his development. Alonso has promised that he will get his chances this season, and I hope those words translate into actual playing time.
There is also transfer speculation linking Chelsea with Como defender Jacobo Ramón ahead of January. Nothing has been confirmed, but strengthening the defence could become important depending on the injury situation.
Tactically, I think Alonso still has some questions to answer. We cannot depend on João Pedro to make everything happen in attack. We need alternative attacking solutions, better movement and more creativity when our main players are unavailable. Palmer's dismissal against Tottenham also reminds us that discipline is just as important as footballing ability.
Now our attention turns to Manchester United. Saturday's meeting at Stamford Bridge presents another opportunity to respond. Palmer's availability should be encouraging, although João Pedro's absence remains a concern.
As a Chelsea supporter, I still believe Alonso deserves time to implement his ideas. However, patience does not mean ignoring the problems we are seeing.
I want to see a Chelsea team that fights for every ball, creates chances and makes supporters proud, regardless of the players available.
We cannot change what happened against Tottenham or Liverpool, but we can respond with a better performance.
