‎As a football fan, the Champions League final between Arsenal and PSG was one of those matches I couldn't wait to watch. Looking at both teams before kickoff, I was expecting plenty of goals. PSG had been one of the most dangerous attacking sides this season, while Arsenal had built their success on a solid and disciplined defence. It felt like the perfect recipe for an exciting final to look out for.

‎The game started in a way that gave Arsenal fans plenty of hope. When Havertz scored in the sixth minute, I jumped off my seat and started imagining Arsenal lifting the trophy. As the minutes passed and PSG kept attacking, I found myself checking the clock every few seconds, hoping Arsenal could hold on."

‎I remember thinking that maybe that goal would be enough to decide the game. Finals are often tight, and Arsenal looked ready to defend that lead with everything they had.

‎What even impressed me most was how organized Arsenal were at the back. PSG kept coming forward, wave after wave, but Arsenal stood firm. Every tackle, clearance, and block seemed to frustrate the French side. At some point, I started believing that Arsenal would really pull it off because their defensive performance was that good.

‎Unfortunately, football has a way of changing in a single moment.

‎The turning point came when PSG were awarded a penalty and Ousmane Dembélé stepped up and converted it calmly, bringing the score level. From that moment, the match felt completely different. The tension increased, and both teams became more cautious, knowing that one mistake could cost them the trophy.

‎Neither side managed to find a winner in normal time or extra time, so the final had to be settled through penalties shootout. As a neutral, penalty shootouts are exciting, but they are also one of the cruelest ways to lose a football match.

‎In the end, PSG held their nerve and won the shootout 4-3. That victory allowed them to retain the Champions League trophy after winning it for the first time last season. Two Champions League titles in two years is an incredible achievement and shows how far the club has come.

‎For Arsenal, though, it was heartbreak. They came so close to lifting the trophy after 20 years but fell just short at the final hurdle. Despite the defeat, I think they proved something important to the football world. They showed that they can compete with the very best and that they are not a team to be taken lightly.

‎They may have lost the final, but they earned respect. The pain of this defeat will hurt for a while, but football always offers another chance. Next season is already on the horizon, and I can't wait to see if Arsenal can come back even more stronger.
