Another exciting night of Champions League football has come and gone, and Wednesday's results reminded me once again why I love this beautiful game. Football is never completely predictable, no matter how strong a team looks on paper.

There were eight matches played, and we witnessed some interesting results, but a few performances really caught my attention.
Let's begin with Liverpool's 3-2 defeat against Fenerbahçe. I honestly expected Liverpool to win comfortably or at least come away with a draw. Seeing them lose this game was quite surprising. I don't know what exactly is happening with Liverpool at the moment, but their supporters will certainly have reasons to worry. They need to find their confidence again because European football does not give you many opportunities to make mistakes.
Real Madrid also had to work hard before securing a 3-2 victory against AEK Athens. Madrid are one of those teams you can never write off, even when things become difficult.
Manchester City equally secured an important 3-2 away victory against RB Leipzig. It was not an easy evening for Maresca's boys, but they managed to get the job done.
However, the biggest surprise for me was Como's unbelievable 9-1 victory over Lens. Honestly, who would have predicted such a result? Scoring nine goals away from home is not something we see every day. It was a remarkable performance and definitely one of the biggest talking points of the night. This Como side are becoming a team to watch out for and I believe Fabregas is doing a fantastic job there.
Arsenal also continued their positive European run with a 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague, while Porto impressed with a convincing 4-1 win against Napoli.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund defeated Real Betis 2-1, and Club Brugge secured a 2-1 away victory against PSV Eindhoven.
Looking at all these results, one thing stands out for me: football is full of surprises. You can have the strongest squad, the biggest players and the best preparation, but none of these guarantees victory.
That's why I never like to celebrate a match before the final whistle.
Congratulations to the winning teams, while the defeated sides have some work to do before their next European challenges.
