I really enjoyed watching this match because it had everything you want from a World Cup knockout game, good football, plenty of drama, and a late winner that completely changed the story.

Before kickoff, I expected Ivory Coast to give Norway a difficult game, and they definitely lived up to that expectation. In fact, there were moments when I thought the African side looked more dangerous. They controlled large spells of the match, created good chances, and never looked intimidated by Norway.
Even though Norway scored first through Antonio Nusa with a beautiful curling effort, I didn't feel the game was over. Ivory Coast kept pushing forward, and their determination was rewarded in the second half.
The player who impressed me the most for Ivory Coast was Amad Diallo. What an impact he made after coming off the bench! He first made a brilliant goal-line clearance to stop Norway from doubling their lead, then went up the other end and scored a fantastic solo goal. That equaliser was fully deserved, and at that point I honestly believed Ivory Coast could go on and win the match.
Then football reminded us why Erling Haaland is one of the best strikers in the world.
For most of the match, he was surprisingly quiet. He barely had any clear chances and was not involved as much as we are used to seeing. But great strikers don't need ten opportunities to make a difference. They only need one.
When the cross came into the box in the closing minutes, Haaland was exactly where a world-class striker should be. He calmly tapped the ball into the net and sent Norway into the last 16. It was not the most spectacular goal, but it was the one that mattered most.
I feel sorry for Ivory Coast because I don't think they deserved to leave the tournament without taking the game to extra time. They fought hard, played positive football, and gave Norway a real test. Unfortunately, knockout football is often decided by tiny moments, and Norway had the player who could deliver in the biggest moment.
Now all eyes turn to Norway's clash with Brazil. That promises to be one of the standout matches of the next round. Brazil have quality all over the pitch, but if they give Haaland even a small chance, he'll be ready to punish them.
This game was another reminder that football is not always about who has the most possession or creates the most chances. Sometimes it's simply about having that one player who can step up when it matters most. Norway had that player, and his name is Erling Haaland.
