Going into this game, I knew it was going to be a tough one for Real Madrid because they were facing an in-form Roma side playing at home. However, with the quality of players Madrid have in their squad, I did not expect the game to be this difficult for them. I knew Roma would give them a serious challenge, but the way the match unfolded was something else entirely.

Honestly, Roma reminded me that football can be funny sometimes. Just when you think you have everything under control and victory is already yours, the game can turn against you in ways you never imagined.
When Real Madrid were trailing Roma 3-1, I started wondering whether this was going to be another disappointing result for them. Roma looked comfortable, and with such a lead, it was easy to believe they had done enough to secure the victory. At that point, I imagine many people were already preparing to accept the result.
But this is Real Madrid, and one thing you should never do is write them off before the final whistle especially in the champions league.
Madrid kept pushing, and their late comeback completely changed the story of the match. First came the goal that reduced the deficit, then Endrick's header brought them level, and finally, Antonio Rudiger struck the winning goal in the closing moments. What a turnaround!
I can only imagine how Roma's players felt when that final goal went in. They had been leading 3-1 and probably believed the three points were already theirs. To lose the match after coming so close to winning must have been incredibly frustrating for them.
For me, this game is another reminder of why I love football. It is not always about who looks stronger on paper or who has the better players. Sometimes, it comes down to mentality, determination, concentration, and the ability to keep fighting when everything seems to be going against you.
Real Madrid deserve credit for refusing to give up, but Roma will also have to ask themselves how they allowed such a comfortable lead to disappear.
One lesson I take from this match is simple: never celebrate too early in football, because the final whistle is what truly matters.
What do you think? Was this comeback a reflection of Real Madrid's mentality, or did Roma simply throw away a match they should have won?
