However, if I had the power to make a few changes, there are some things I believe could make the platform even better for both new and existing users.
One thing I would focus on is making Hive easier for newcomers to understand. I still remember how confusing some things were when I first joined. Terms like Hive Power, Resource Credits, delegation, and curation rewards felt like a different language. Many people join with excitement but end up leaving because they struggle to understand how everything works. I think a simple beginner-friendly guide or interactive tutorial could help new users settle in much faster and stay motivated.
Another improvement I would like to see is better exposure for quality content. Every day, thousands of posts are published on Hive, and sometimes great content gets lost in the crowd. I have come across amazing writers and talented creators whose work deserved much more attention than it received. It would be nice if Hive had a stronger recommendation system that could help users discover quality posts based on their interests. That way, good content would have a better chance of reaching the audience it deserves.
I would also like to see more recognition for people who contribute to communities in different ways. Not everyone helps Hive by writing posts. Some members welcome newcomers, organize contests, moderate communities, and support others behind the scenes. These contributions are important because they help communities grow and stay active. Finding more ways to reward such efforts would encourage even more people to get involved.
Overall, I believe these changes would help make Hive more welcoming, more rewarding for genuine contributors, and more enjoyable for everyone. Hive already has a lot of strengths, but there is always room for improvement. If you had the power to change one thing on Hive today, what would it be?
