‎Hello Hives,

‎If someone had asked me at the beginning of this year what I needed to change about myself, I probably would have mentioned a new skill or a better routine. Looking back now, I realize the biggest change was not something I learned, but it was something I finally let go of.

‎One habit that quietly affected almost every part of my life was trying to make everyone happy. I used to worry too much about what people thought of me. I found it difficult to say no, even when I was already overwhelmed, because I did not want anyone to think I was rude or uncaring. The truth is, I was often putting other people's comfort ahead of my own peace.

‎At the same time, I spent far too much time comparing myself to other people. Every time I saw someone celebrating an achievement, I could not help but wonder why my own progress seemed so slow. Instead of appreciating how far I had come, I kept focusing on how far I still had to go. It was not a healthy way to live.

‎As the months went by, I started asking myself a simple question: Who am I really doing all of this for? And that question changed my perspective.

‎I slowly began setting boundaries. At first, it felt uncomfortable because I was not used to putting myself first. But over time, I realized that protecting my time and energy does not make me selfish. It simply means I'm taking care of myself, and that's something I should have been doing all along.

‎Another lesson that really stayed with me is that consistency matters more than perfection. I used to wait until everything felt "just right" before taking action. These days, I'd rather make small progress than no progress at all. I have learned that showing up consistently, even when I don't feel like it, is what truly makes a difference.

‎And more importantly, I have become more patient with myself. I have stopped expecting my life to look like someone else's. We all have different stories, different challenges, and different timing. Comparing my chapter three to someone else's chapter ten never made sense, and I'm glad I'm finally beginning to understand that.

‎The first half of this year has not been perfect, but it has been full of lessons. Letting go of people-pleasing and comparison has given me something I didn't realize I was missing peace of mind. I'm still growing, still learning, and still making mistakes, but I'm no longer trying to become someone else. I'm simply working on becoming a better version of myself, one day at a time.

‎Thanks for reading!!!!
