Hello Hives,
I was thinking about exercise recently because it's been a while I do so and I really love the question on ladies of hive for this prompt why said " is there actually a particular age when someone should start exercising?

While growing up, I never really thought about exercise as something we had to plan. We were just active.
As children, we would run around, play football, jump, climb, ride bicycles and sometimes play until an adult started shouting that it was getting late. 😂 Nobody was calling it a workout. We were simply having fun then.
But as we grow older, things change.
Work comes. Bills come. Marriage comes. Children come. There are days when you wake up already thinking about what you need to solve before the day ends. Sometimes you get home tired and the last thing on your mind is exercise.
That's something I can relate to.
As adults, we can easily become so focused on making a living and taking care of our families that we forget that our own bodies also need attention.
And the funny thing is that exercise doesn't have to mean buying expensive gym equipment or paying for a gym membership.
A person can start with something as simple as walking. You can jog, stretch, play football, ride a bicycle, dance, do push-ups, squats or other simple exercises at home.
Even children can exercise, although for them it can simply be playing and staying active. As they grow older, they can gradually take part in more structured activities and sports too.
For adults and older people, the important thing is knowing your limits and starting gradually. You don't need to push yourself hard or compete with someone who has been exercising for years.
I personally think one of the biggest mistakes we make is waiting for the "perfect time" to start taking care of ourselves.
We say, "I will start next week."
Next week comes, and something else happens.
Before you know it, months have already passed.
Our bodies are carrying us everywhere we want to go and helping us do everything we need to do. So taking care of the body should not be something we remember only when we become sick.
I don't think there is an expiry date for exercise. You can start young, continue as an adult and still find a suitable form of exercise when you are much getting older.
The exercise may change, the intensity may change, but staying active can remain part of life.
My means of exercise is playing football and jogging but it's something I have done for a while and I hope I can finally get back in no time.
So, what about you? Do you currently exercise?
Are you a gym person, do you walk or jog, play football, exercise at home, or are you still telling yourself, "I'll start tomorrow"? 😂
I'd genuinely like to hear what you do to keep yourself active.
Thanks for Reading
