Hello Hives,
Sometimes I look at my life and ask myself, “Am I really making progress?”
I think many of us have asked ourselves this question at one point or another.

There are times when you work hard, but the results are not coming as quickly as you expected. You see people around you achieving things and you start wondering if you are doing something wrong.
I have had those moments myself.
As a plumber, there have been periods when jobs were not coming regularly. Farming has also taught me a lot of lessons. Sometimes you put your time and little money into something, only for things not to go exactly as planned.
But one thing I have come to understand is that progress is not always something you can see immediately.
Sometimes the biggest progress is happening inside you.
Maybe you have not made the money you wanted yet, but you have learned how to manage the little you have.
Maybe your business has not reached where you want it to be, but you now understand things that you did not understand before.
Maybe you made mistakes last year that you would not make today.
That is growth.
For me, even learning more about poultry farming has been part of that journey. I did not start with everything figured out. I have made mistakes, tried different things and learned from experience. Every challenge has added something to my knowledge.
And honestly, I would rather keep learning than pretend that I already know everything.
When you are learning, you are growing.
I think we put too much pressure on ourselves to always have something big to celebrate. We want the new car, the new house, the successful business, the bigger income and all the things that make it look like we have finally “made it.”
Those things are good, of course.
But what about the person you are becoming while chasing them?
Maybe you are becoming more disciplined.
Maybe you are becoming wiser with money.
Maybe you are learning a trade.
Maybe you are becoming a better husband, father, friend or businessperson.
Those things may not attract applause, but they are important.
So, if you are presently in a season where you don't feel like you are winning, don't conclude that you are failing.
Look closer.
If you are learning, you are not standing still.
If you are correcting your mistakes, you are growing.
If you are still trying after things didn't work out, you are becoming more stronger.
I may not have everything I want today, but I know I have learned a lot along the way.
And for now, that is something I am proud of.
Winning feels good, but growth is what prepares you for the wins that are still ahead.
Thanks for Reading
