‎Hello Hives,

‎When I saw this topic, I didn't answer it straight away. I wanted to think about it because everyone has a different idea of what really makes a person good.

‎But for me, the first quality that comes to mind is integrity.

‎I grew up hearing people say that your character is what you do when nobody is watching. As I have gotten older, I have realized how true that is. It's easy to act nice when people are looking or when there's something to gain just like those politicians. The real test comes when you have a chance to lie, cheat, or take advantage of someone, but you choose not to because you know it is not right.

‎And thats what integrity is all about to me.

‎I can't deny the fact that I'm far from perfect myself. I have made mistakes, disappointed people, and had moments that I wish I could erase. Looking back, those experiences taught me lessons that I probably would not have learned any other way. They reminded me that life is not about pretending to be perfect. But it's about becoming better than you were yesterday.

‎So, can someone who has made serious mistakes still become a good person?

‎I honestly believe the answer is yes.

‎If people could not change, there would be no reason to learn from our mistakes. There would be no point in asking for forgiveness or trying to improve ourselves. Thankfully, life does not work that way. Every day gives us another opportunity and chances to make better choices and change our ways.

‎That does not mean people should ignore the consequences of their actions. Some mistakes hurt others deeply, and rebuilding trust never something easy to do. It can take months or even years. But when someone accepts responsibility instead of making excuses, changes their behaviour, and consistently tries to do the right thing, I think they deserve the chance to prove they have changed.

‎One thing I have learned is that actions always speak louder than promises. Anyone can say they have changed, but it's their daily choices that convince people.

‎At the end of the day, I don't believe a good person is someone who has never failed. A good person is someone who keeps learning, keeps growing, and keeps choosing kindness, honesty, and respect even after life knocks them down.

‎We are all works in progress. None of us has a perfect story, but we all have the chance to write a better next chapter. And for me, that's what truly defines a good person.

‎Thanks for reading!!!!
