‎Hello Hives,

‎One thing I am slowly learning about life is that people don't always remain the same.

‎Someone can be very close to you today and become distant tomorrow. Someone who used to call you every day may suddenly stop calling. A friend who was always available when you needed them might become busy with their own life.

‎And honestly, it can really hurt.

‎I think most of us have experienced this at some point. You remember how things used to be and start asking yourself questions.

‎“Did I do something wrong?”

‎“Why has this person changed?”

‎“Was I not good enough?”

‎Sometimes we blame ourselves for a distance we don't even understand.

‎But with time, I have come to realise that people have their own lives too. Their responsibilities change. Their priorities change. Their moods change. Sometimes they meet new people, discover new interests, face personal problems or simply grow into a different version of themselves.

‎The person who had plenty of time for you last year may not have that same time this year.

‎And that does not always mean they stopped caring.

‎Of course, there are times when someone deliberately disrespects you or treats you badly. That is different, and we should not make excuses for people who constantly hurt us.

‎But not every change is betrayal.

‎Sometimes, it is simply life happening.

‎I also think we put too much pressure on people to remain exactly the way we met them. We want the same friendship, the same attention and the same level of communication forever. But people are not machines. They grow, they change and they go through different seasons.

‎Instead of getting angry every time someone becomes distant, maybe we should learn to accept it.

‎Appreciate the moments you shared with them. Be grateful for the support they gave you when they were able to give it. If the relationship continues, good. If it doesn't, don't allow resentment to consume you.

‎Not everyone who walks away from your life is your enemy. Some people were simply part of a particular chapter.

‎And that's okay.

‎Life is full of people coming and going. Some will stay for years, some for months, and some may only be there when you need a particular lesson.

‎So, if someone is no longer the person they used to be, don't destroy your peace trying to force them back into that old version.

‎Accept the change.

‎Adjust your expectations.

‎Keep moving.

‎Nobody owes you consistency forever. Sometimes, accepting that is the beginning of peace.
