Hello Hives
There is something about childhood friendship that feels different from the friendships we make as adults.
When we were kids, making friends was easy. You don't need to think too much about it. You could meet someone while playing football, sitting beside each other in class, or simply living in the same neighbourhood, and before long, you were already close.

Back then, friendship was not about money or what somebody could give you. We just wanted someone to play with, laugh with and share our little adventures with.
I still remember how much fun we could have with the simplest things. Playing football until someone’s mother started calling them home, sitting outside in the evening talking about things that made absolutely no sense, sharing snacks, teasing each other and sometimes even getting into trouble together.
The funny thing is that we didn't know those ordinary moments would become some of the memories we would treasure years later.
As we grow older, life changes. People relocate, get married, start working, have children and become busy with their own responsibilities. Sometimes, even people who were once very close stop talking regularly. It does not always mean there was a serious problem. Sometimes life just takes people in different directions.
But if you are fortunate enough to still have a childhood friend in your life today, I think that is something worth appreciating.
There is a special kind of comfort that comes with someone who knew you when you were still a child. They knew the person you were before adulthood changed many things. They probably remember your funny habits, your childhood dreams, your embarrassing moments and the things you used to worry about.
And sometimes, even after not speaking for a long time, you can meet again and immediately start laughing like you never stopped being friends. That kind of connection is difficult to replace.
Not every childhood friendship survives the years, though. Some people become part of our story for only a little period. Even so, the memories can stay with us for a lifetime.
For me, I think that is what makes childhood friendship beautiful and amazing. It reminds us of a simpler time when happiness could come from something as small as playing outside with friends.
