Hello Hives,
Sometimes I sit back and wonder why we are so quick to judge people.
Someone makes a mistake and before you know it, people are already talking. Someone is struggling financially, and instead of asking how they can help, some people start laughing. Someone's marriage is going through a difficult time, and suddenly everybody becomes a relationship expert.

Even when someone is simply trying to put their life together, there will always be people watching from the outside and telling them what they should have done.
But here is the part that gets me.
The person judging you may not actually have a better life than you.
They may just be better at hiding their own problems.
The person laughing at your failure may have failed before.
The person telling you that you are not doing enough may also be struggling with something they don't talk about.
And the person who always looks like they have everything figured out may be fighting battles behind closed doors that nobody knows about.
I have come to understand that not every opinion deserves my attention.
If someone genuinely cares about me and points out something I am doing wrong, I can listen. I don't want pride to stop me from learning.
But there is a big difference between someone correcting you because they care and someone judging you just to make themselves feel better.
None of us has a perfect story.
We all have things we have done that we are not proud of. We have all made decisions we wish we could change. Some mistakes are public, while others remain hidden.
And honestly, I think that is why we should be more careful about judging people.
In Nigeria especially, appearances can be very deceptive. Someone may be wearing good clothes, driving a nice car and posting happy pictures online, but you don't know what is happening behind the scenes.
Another person may be struggling today, but that does not mean they will struggle forever.
I have learned this from life that everybody is on a different journey.
So if someone is still trying to find their feet, don't laugh at them.
If someone falls, don't be too quick to mock them.
If someone makes a mistake, remember that you have probably made your own mistakes too.
Today you may be in a better position than someone else. Tomorrow, life may put you in a position where you will need the same understanding you once refused to give.
For me, I would rather focus on becoming a better version of myself than spend my time looking for faults in other people.
Because the truth is, we don't know the full story behind anybody's life.
Be kind. Stay humble. Keep working on yourself.
And before you judge someone, remember that you may only be seeing one small chapter of their story.
Thanks for Reading
