Hello Hives,
Sometimes I think one of the hardest things about being an adult is knowing that nobody can make every decision for you.
People can advise you. Your parents can warn you. Your friends can tell you what they think. Even your wife or husband can say, "Please don't do this." But at the end of the day, you are still the one who has to make the final decision.

And when the result comes, you are also the one who has to face it.
That is something I have come to understand more as I grow older.
There are decisions I have made in my life that I am proud of, and there are some I wish I had thought about a little longer before making them. At the time, I didn't necessarily think I was making a bad decision. I was simply looking at what was in front of me and trying to do what I felt was best.
But life doesn't always judge our decisions by our intentions. Sometimes, the consequences simply come.
For example, you can decide to spend money because you feel you need something badly. The next day, another important need can show up and you may start asking yourself, "Why did I spend that money?"
You can trust somebody because you believe they are genuine, only to discover later that you were wrong.
You can also refuse good advice because you feel you know better. Then, when things don't work out, you realise that the person who warned you wasn't actually trying to stop you from succeeding.
I have learnt that freedom does not mean doing whatever comes to your mind.
Freedom also means accepting responsibility for what you decide to do.
This is especially important when you have a family. Your decisions no longer affect only you. The way you handle money, work, relationships and even your time can eventually affect the people who depend on you.
These days, whenever I have an important decision to make, I try to slow down a little. I ask myself, "If this doesn't work out, can I live with the consequences?"
I don't always get it right. Nobody does.
But I believe that question alone can make us think twice before doing something we might actually regret later.
We are all free to choose our own path.
Choose a business. Choose a relationship. Choose to save or spend. Choose to take a risk or play safe.
But remember one thing:
You are free to make the choice, but you are not free from the consequences.
That part belongs to all of us.
Thanks for Reading
