Politics - usually not talking about but.....
In Germany the former government failed or was not appreciated by the German folks (me too). Now today is the day to elect a new government. While I see no real hope anything will change for the better as there is a dedicated frontier towards the right-wing party called AFD (which got support by Elon Musk, Trump and others where I doubt they have any idea on program) and even more important no real solution by any political party is provided to solve European problems - we lack innovation, we suffer from EU driven bureaucracy, US and China are killing us therefore - we have too many different cultures that do not get along - that is just the sad but expected truth.

A short recap on the program of German political parties summarized
Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU):
-
Economic Policy: Led by Friedrich Merz, the CDU/CSU emphasizes revitalizing Germany's economy through tax cuts, deregulation, and significant infrastructure investments.
-
Immigration: The party advocates for stricter immigration controls, aiming to manage migration more effectively.
-
Defense and Foreign Policy: Merz proposes bolstering Germany's military capabilities and suggests closer collaboration with European allies, including considering integration with British or French nuclear arsenals, in response to global uncertainties.
My family comes from that party - I hardly can vote for them
Social Democratic Party (SPD):
-
Economic Policy: Chancellor Olaf Scholz's SPD focuses on economic incentives and infrastructure modernization to stimulate growth.
-
Social Welfare: The party aims to strengthen social support systems, ensuring economic stability and addressing public concerns.
-
Immigration: While traditionally more open, the SPD has recently adopted a more cautious approach to immigration, balancing humanitarian responsibilities with integration challenges.
No choice for me to vote
Alliance 90/The Greens:
-
Climate and Energy: The Greens prioritize environmental sustainability, advocating for accelerated renewable energy expansion and stringent climate policies.
-
Social Policies: They support progressive social policies, including comprehensive immigration reforms that facilitate integration and uphold human rights.
-
Economic Transition: The party emphasizes transitioning to a green economy, proposing investments in sustainable technologies and industries.
No VOTE from me
Free Democratic Party (FDP):
-
Economic Policy: The FDP advocates for free-market policies, emphasizing minimal state intervention, pension reforms, and support for digital innovation.
-
Climate Policy: While supporting climate goals, they prefer market-based solutions over regulatory approaches, aiming for a balance between environmental concerns and economic growth.
USUALLY MY PARTY but probably no chance they hit the 5% mark
Alternative for Germany (AfD):
-
Immigration: The AfD takes a hardline stance against immigration, proposing stringent policies to limit new arrivals and enhance border security.
-
Foreign Policy: The party opposes continued support for Ukraine and advocates for a reassessment of Germany's role in international alliances.
-
Economic Policy: They emphasize national economic interests, often expressing skepticism towards the European Union and globalization.
NEVER VOTE FROM ME but 20% in Germany seems to favour them, they are not all NAZIS but i see no real solutions by them
The Left (Die Linke):
- Economic Policy: Die Linke proposes increased public spending on social programs, funded by higher taxes on the wealthy, aiming to reduce inequality.
- Foreign Policy: The party calls for a reevaluation of military engagements and a focus on diplomatic solutions in international conflicts.
- Social Policies: They advocate for expansive social welfare programs and policies that protect workers' rights.
Left is nothing for me
Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW):
- Economic Policy: A recent offshoot from Die Linke, the BSW emphasizes traditional leftist economic policies, focusing on wealth redistribution and social justice.
- Immigration: The party adopts a more restrictive stance on immigration compared to other left-leaning parties, reflecting a blend of social conservatism with economic progressivism.
- Foreign Policy: They advocate for non-interventionist policies and a focus on national interests.
- These platforms reflect the diverse perspectives within Germany's political landscape as voters decide on the country's direction amidst economic challenges, immigration debates, and evolving international relations.
No Vote, interestingly BSW is left wing but considered an alliance partner of AFD which is right wing
