We live in a world filled with lots of people, lots of people with different takes on things, such as culture, tradition, religion, and the like. One of such things people have different takes and opinions on is whether they want to go into a relationship and be committed to someone else or remain single and live life as they please. As we all know, a relationship comes with responsibility and the need to be committed and loyal to the person we're with, while single life comes with freedom from all such things. What is my own take on these? Find out below.
You see, had you asked me these questions a few years ago, I would have given you a different response from what I would be giving today, and that's because of the situation life presents to me due to the decision I made earlier. You see, I had gone into a relationship in the past and had to deal with heartbreak that accompanied disappointment and unfaithfulness; these made me vow never to go into any relationship again but to remain single.
But then after about 6 years of doing that, I had a change of heart once again after remembering my earlier dreams and also meeting a unique soul that changed my perspective through her characters and person. Since then I've gone on to date her, get engaged to her, and even get married. Today I'm not only a husband but also a proud one, and I can say without any doubt that that's one of the best decisions I've made, and it brought me to a point of fulfillment.
So with that being said, I believe you can tell that I prefer to be in a relationship than to be single. Yes, I know being in a relationship comes with its ups and downs, but so does single life. There's nothing as beautiful as having someone you love and care about and knowing that they do the same to you as well. I'd choose being in a relationship over being single every single time because I know it's satisfying, it's lovely, it's the best, and it's also a way of obeying God's commandments that ask us to go into the world and multiply.
