Many of us often at the beginning of each year or during the course of it lay down some plans, goals, or ambitions that we hope to actualize before the year runs out, and as the year runs by, we make every effort within our power to achieve these goals because they'll go on to make our lives better and make us have a sense of fulfillment. However, despite how great it is to actualize goals, unfortunately not all can be achieved within the stipulated time frame, and when we realize this, some of us aren't too broken to recognize it's no more impossible to achieve them in the current year and just swiftly shift it to the following year. I'm no exception in this regard, and in this article I'll tell you all about it.
Take for instance earlier this year, I laid down a handful of resolutions I'd like to bring to fulfillment for this year, and I was very positive I'd achieve them before the year runs out. But with time and some unforeseen good tidying, I've got no choice but to come to the realization that some of these resolutions can't be achieved again this year. I remember I boldly wrote down my resolution for the year down here on Hive months ago, and one of the most notable ones amongst all, which I was so hell-bent on achieving, happens to be the one that's not lacking behind, and I had no choice but to move it to the coming year's goals. I'm sure you'll be wondering what it is and why. Well, worry no more because I'll talk about it below in detail.
The resolution I had to move to the coming year has to do with my desire to own a house of my own and also stay in it. I've always nurtured this dream, and I had the belief that this year I'll give it all it takes to bring that dream into reality, as I'm just kind of fed up about being a tenant. I want to experience what it feels like to be a landlord and a house owner. I had all these dreams despite the fact that I don't have a piece of land I can call my own, and neither do I have the enormous amount it'll cost to build a house. Given the fact that I'm a civil servant, it's obvious my salary can't bring those dreams to life within three years, but I never let that put me down.
So to start with, I began the year by purchasing a landed property as a first step towards bringing my dream to life, and after that I had a conversation with my contractor friend, with whom I had a lengthy conversation, and at the end of it he agreed he'll help me construct my house fully if I can give him a specific amount, and I'll just have to balance him up the remaining fee within the following two years. Seeing how everything was going as planned, I was already smiling joyfully, thinking, "Finally, I'll become a homeowner before the year runs out," but then something unexpected but exciting came into the picture, and for that reason I had to divert the majority of the money I had planned for the building project into that thing.
I'm sure you'll be wondering what that thing could be that swept up off my dream despite the fact that everything seems to have been placed on a platter of gold for me. Well, I can't tell you what it is, but what I can tell you is that I've been working on this new and exciting thing for the past seven months, and even though to date it hasn't been fulfilled, I am one hundred percent certain I'm very close, and I know by God's grace it'll turn out well in the end. So with this new development, I've shifted my building project dream to the coming year, and I'm hoping I'll be able to also tick that aspect of my life soonest.
