For who knows how many lifetimes
We have traveled together
I don't know why it feels this way
There could be many reasons
Even after years together
someone remains a stranger
And sometimes, even after living across seven seas
Someone I have never seen or known
Feels like my own
Is this some invisible power?
Even while living so far away
The experience of intimacy every moment
Draws me to you
Your presence in the beat of my heart
Understands my unspoken thoughts
Knows the desires of my heart
By her inspiration and grace
I too, with every moment of my life
We live in each other
Perhaps we may meet someday
And perhaps we never will
Meeting and parting are mere events
But I am grateful to you, my friend!
