Falls these thorny bushes of yours
Have you thought
That these thorny bushes of black gunpowder
Flow only in the barren land of black thoughts
And our land
A lovely confluence of philosophy
Lotus flowers bloom in the lakes of this land
Which are the result of strong renunciation These are the symbols of our character
The seats of gods and goddesses
Every part of this earth has the fragrance of saffron
Which is the unique colour of the leaders
And whose vision
Gives shape to the divine eye too
Our earth grows Chinar trees
Whose green-cool shade
Gives peace to the mind
We will uproot these thorny bushes of yours from the root
Now the whole world does not need these thorny bushes of terror
But the fragrant flowers of peace
