IMF released its most recent forecast and they are spicy!
Global growth has taken a hit but most importantly, US Growth is now expected to be sub 2%! Is this the end of American Exceptionalism?
- IMF sees global growth of 2.8% in 2025, down from 3.3% in January forecast
- IMF chief economist says new era ushered in by trade reset
- Escalating trade tensions could further dampen growth
*The US has been given the biggest downgrade among advanced economies - growth there is now expected to be 1.8% this year, down from its previous estimate of 2.7%.
I cannot even express how I feel about the moves from the Trump Admin. US is now isolated on the global stage, heading for a possible recession while allies are questioning their long term alliance with the US at a time when authoritarian powers are being louder (Russia, Iran, etc...).
This is bad my friends!
