Finding oneself in a lonely state can sometimes result in depression. Most especially when you have so many thoughts to consider at that time.

May be as a parent, thoughts like;
The year is almost ending, how do I pay my rent? what will my children eat? How about their school fees, how do I balance it?
As an individual, most especially when life doesn't seem to happen the way you planned. Several disappointments, frustration and heartbreak from people you least expected. Different negative thoughts set in and you begin to wonder, most expecially when you are left alone.
As a sick person, thoughts like; how is this going to end? will I survive this? Now that I don't have money to continue the treatment, what's actually my fate? God! You exclaim.
And as a child that is berieved; thoughts like, is this real? Someone should wake me up....wished it's just a dream. How do I live all by myself, no! "Take me along with you".
"I can't do this alone"... people in this situation will mostly say these words.
After considering all these, life itself becomes lifeless, the world becomes boring and then depression set in.
Since all these thoughts mostly strick when one is lonely; I think checking up on one another can actually lessen depression and give the depressed person a more reason to live.
