Today I’m sharing some photos from inside the museum at the Museo Nacional de Historia Castillo de Chapultepec.
Walking through these rooms feels like stepping into preserved fragments of time.
Antique furniture, paintings, uniforms, documents — each object carries a narrative.
🪑 A chair is no longer just a chair; it represents power, meetings, decisions.
🎨 A painting becomes more than art; it becomes a political and cultural statement.
📜 Even small artifacts hold layers of meaning.
As a scientist, I’m used to studying material properties, composition, structure.
Here, I find myself thinking about something else: context.
Objects don’t exist in isolation — they belong to systems, just like molecules belong to reactions.
The museum is a reminder that knowledge is not only stored in books or equations.
It lives in spaces, objects, and stories preserved across generations.
And walking through these halls makes history feel less distant — and more human.

Hoy comparto algunas fotos del museo dentro del Museo Nacional de Historia Castillo de Chapultepec.
Recorrer estas salas es como entrar en fragmentos preservados del tiempo.
Muebles antiguos, pinturas, uniformes, documentos — cada objeto guarda una narrativa.
🪑 Una silla deja de ser solo una silla; representa decisiones, reuniones, poder.
🎨 Una pintura es más que arte; es una declaración cultural y política.
📜 Incluso los objetos pequeños contienen múltiples capas de significado.
Como científico, estoy acostumbrado a analizar propiedades materiales, composición y estructura.
Aquí me encuentro reflexionando sobre algo diferente: el contexto.
Los objetos no existen aislados — pertenecen a sistemas, igual que las moléculas dentro de una reacción.
El museo me recuerda que el conocimiento no solo se guarda en libros o ecuaciones.
También vive en espacios, en objetos y en historias que atraviesan generaciones.
Y caminar por estas salas hace que la historia se sienta menos lejana — y mucho más humana.
