Paris is one of those cities where walking a few streets can take you through centuries of history, architecture and culture. On this day, I started around one of its most famous places and slowly made my way toward the Seine.
📸 The Louvre
Standing in front of the Louvre is impressive even before entering the museum. The size of the building, its sculptures and all the architectural details make it impossible not to stop for a moment and look around.
Seeing the French flag flying above this historic building made this a perfect place to begin my walk through Paris. 🇫🇷
📸 Geometry beneath the glass
Inside the Louvre complex, the architecture changes completely. Looking up at the glass pyramid from below gives a very different perspective from the famous exterior view.
I especially liked the combination of glass, metal, stone and geometric shapes. As someone who enjoys mathematics, it was difficult not to notice all those lines, triangles and symmetries surrounding the space.
📸 Discovering Paris on foot
After leaving the Louvre area, I continued walking without being in too much of a hurry.
This is something I really enjoy about Paris: even between the major attractions, you constantly find monuments, sculptures, fountains and small places that invite you to stop.
Sometimes these unexpected stops become part of the memories you keep from a trip.
📸 A moment by the Seine
Eventually, my walk brought me to the Seine.
I stopped on one of the bridges to enjoy the view and take a picture. From here, Paris feels different. The historic buildings, the river, the trees along the banks and the bridges in the distance create one of those scenes that immediately make you understand why this city has inspired so many people.
It was definitely a moment worth remembering. 🌊🇫🇷
📸 The Seine and the city
And sometimes the best photograph doesn't need anyone standing in front of the camera.
I wanted one final picture simply showing what I was seeing: the Seine stretching through the heart of Paris, surrounded by historic architecture and crossed by its beautiful bridges.
A quiet view to finish a wonderful walk through the city.
Paris is beautiful when you visit its famous places, but I think you discover another side of it when you simply start walking. ❤️
